Is this not biddat and shirk-e-azeem.
… Saudi scholars ..the greatest scholars ever produced in human history consider it shirk-e-azeem even then such naats are written and recited by ummah.Such a great sin.

Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
Oh thanks for posting this naat, I was looking for it all over the net!
Jazakallah.
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
desert bird which words are you objecting to in this naat???
![]()
The whole naat … isnt reciting naat ..praising Prophet(pbuh) is biddat ![]()
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
no i do not think so...unless your naat has words like you r praying to Prophet.
saudi scholars object bcz they say singing can then lead to music and other songs. so they discourage it. i think.
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
but this naat sounds beautiful even my daughters who do not understand all words were saying its beautiful.

Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
Naats & Hamds are recited to Praise Allah & his Rasool (PBUH). Theyre like Nasheeds' in english! and i dont think theyre biddat. This Naat has nothing in it to make it Shirk - atleast I dont hear anything.
Where did you get the info about the Saudi's scholars etc? do you have a link etc to prove your statement?
I do know that theres a few verses in Qasida Burdah Shareef that maybe considered Shirk, I can find out which ones.
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
yes please let us know what in the burda?intereding!
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
I cant seem to find the exact verses from the Qasidah that were controversial but apparently there are now versions that exclude that certain verse of the Qasidah.
Such as this one
Insha’Allah I will try to email the Sheikh and ask him what specific verse it was.
Whats your objection on this naat? what part of it you think is shirk? caz i listened to it for 1 minute and few seconds and didnt find any shirk.
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
This is really very nice and i also didnt hear any wrong word.... but wht is biddat in it???
Re: tauba tauba..shirk-e-azeem
If praising Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum) was a biddat why would Allah Himself praise Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum)???
Allah and His Angels send Darood on the Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum).
If praising Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wasulum) then you praise your parents, your teachers, your kids. Wouldn’t that aslo be biddat???
You guys there are 2 parts to the word “biddat”. A “biddat” can be good biddat or bad biddat. A biddat is good if it doesn’t go against Quran and Sunnah. For example, in the time of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) the Holy Quraan was not even printed. Sahaba ( Razi Allah Anhum) used to write verses of Quran on leaves. So now Quran is being printed on paper, that’s a bidat. but it’s a good biddat. otherwise how would any of us have read Quraan.
Similarly at the time of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) there was no tv. So the Scholars who come on tv and teach us so many things are doing bidat. But would you consider this bidat bad??? No not at all. We are all benefiting from it. So it’s a good bidat.
SO NOT EVERY BIDAT IS BAD. as long as it doesn’t go against Quran and Sunnah and it’s beneficial it’s fine.
By they way, Sahaba (Razi Allah Anhum) used to praise Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) in front of Him. Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) never stopped them and told them you are doing bidat. Hassan Bin Sabit (Razi Allah Anho) used to recite Naat Sharif (Nasheed) and Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) actually had a podium placed in Masjid E Nabvi for Him to recite Nasheed.
So why shouldn’t we praise our Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum). Remember Love of Prophet (Sallalaho Alahey Wa Alahi Wasulum) is the core of Eman, and reciting Nasheed is an expression of this love. Therefore, it’s not bad to recite Nasheed in anyway. Infact it;s a great ibadat.

I disagree completely. Printing of Quran cannot possibly be termed as Biddat.
Biddat is innovation in religion or bringing new practices in religion and printing of Quran was "not a practice" in religion.
Further, i dont know if a lot of people are aware of it or not but Prophet (SAW) had his poet Hassan with him all the time who would do poetry about prophet's (saw) deeds and action.
