well i 'm getting a laughing reaper skull tattoo on my left arm .Alot of people told me that you can't pray if its a figure ,well i quit praying 3 months back so it doesn't really matter but i would like to know the link between tattoo and prayer. its my body atleast i should be able to do watever i wanna do to my body don't u think. Religion should leave me alone for one sec thas all i ask. Cuz i believe my religion would never let me do anything i want my religion wants me to live a 1400 years old life style. Not fair

a figure (or picture) is prohibited in Islam..that's why you can't pray with any pictures around you. That's the link btwn the tatoo your getting and prayer. My understanding with tatoo's in general is that your wuzu in not valid if you have a tatoo... kinda like wearing nail polish. If you'r wuzu is not valid... your namaz is not valid.

Its true that you should be able to do whatever you want to do to your body, but Islam is not just a religion...its a lifestyle. Namaz should be part of your lifestyle too. If you can't accept this lifestyle, they why are you concerned with the the experts have to say abt it?
