Tattoo's in islam

i kno tattoo is un-islamic but can someone explain to me why its haram or makroo? i have to explain it to my friend who is muslim and she really wants one but i want to give her a defined reason as to why its not appropriate in islam–

Also-- about working out most men work out to tone up get big muscles look fit and most of the time show off-- is there anything on that in islam abt working out and if its not appropriate??

Re: Tattoo's in islam

Any type of harm to your own skin or body is haraam. As for working out, it's recommended to stay fit in Islam.

common shower rooms

naaaaaaaaaaa, common shower rooms are not un Islamic .Taking a group shower by males or females or by un married couples in bday suit is un Islamic. If a male female couple is married then it is not un Islamic either , for reference look Sahih Bukhari.

As for tatoos

ulema say that it is not permissible because it
implies changing the creation of Allaah, as Allaah tells us that the
Shaytaan said:

“ ‘and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allaah’”
[al-Nisa’ 4:119 – interpretation of the meaning]

Re: Tattoo's in islam

they look stupid and the ink from the tatoos could go in ur blood and give u a disease or something with the skin

how does circumsicion, hair cuts etc come into play here
or diff types of plastic surgeries, ranging from augementations and transplants to cleft palette?

It is sunnat and need vs not needed and not required changes.

Re: Tattoo's in islam

ok thanks for the responses i get the tattoos part-- lekin i mean when guys work out and show off their bodies in tanktops and shirts where they look soo muscular- isnt that wrong in islam? dikhawaa fizool ka?

Good question . It is sunnat and need vs not needed and not required changes. A nose job can be needed by someone who's nose got disfigured or he/she was born with disfigured nose , but someone getting a nose job just because he/she thinks his/her nose is too long or too short is making changes in the creation of Allah.
Allah knows the best.

yes it is

Allah tells us to dress modestly, wearing these tight shirts isn't not modest.

We are hardwired to find asymmetry ugly, and symmetry beautiful. Likewise, everything must be proportional.

Disfigured or not, it's far from "perfect."
