Anything that alters your body from the way it was made by Allaah is haram.
Tattoos, contact lenses that color eyes, plastic surgery etc. These are all examples and are all haram because they alter the body from the way it was made.

yup. and unless you superglue contact lenses to your eyes, they aint permanent (please dont try to glue them)

From a tattoos perspective probably yes, but contact lenses are not premanent and if used for beautification purposes like Henna or surma or make up etc are allowed. Please see teh thread about colored contact lenses for some rulings by scholars.
as far as plastic surgery goes, a lot of it is for health reasons, e.g. reconstructive surgery for limbs lost, burns and even for some cancer survivers. heck some may say that cataract surgery is a form of plastic surgery..and yes it alters the body from teh way it was..
when it comes to purely cosmectic surgery, it again is not alteration but medical help and assistance in making your body look better, face lifts etc. it would be something else if you got a bear's snout implanted on yourself.
the religiosu ruling is that iof it is done in vanity and is excessive beautification than it is not allowed but if it is to prevent people's suffering it is allowed. Now that suffering can be physical as well as emotional or psychological. examples of physical suffering would be someone who needs a rhinoplasty to fix his nose because he cant breathe. but the other form of suffering could be due to taunts and jeers someone can get due to a phyiscal feature..and if the surgery thus ends that suffering is that so wrong? .
Next Fatwa please

Proof my friend.. not just tall statements. Bring your proof... where did Allah say that?
AND then we go back to tattoos and why they are haraam if mutilating u're body is accepted when it comes to circumcision.
circumcision is part of muslim religion everywhere as far as I know. Everyone can't be wrong.

"Everyone can't be wrong" ..... is that the proof??
No it's not but it points to the likelihood that it is the truth.
Contact lenses are NOT haram!
Tatoos are as they disfigure the body.
Circumsision is a health issue, and its cleaner to have it done.
paki abroad salam
allah's quran is the biggest proof refering to what you said after my first response about circumcision
ps remember tatoos and khatney (circumcision) are two total different things
very good dream, care to let me in on the verse that commands it to be carried out on all male muslims??
haram or not, I don't like tattoos. I think they are a symbol of immature rebellion without cause. I find most people get tattoed because of afeeling of impotence, even if they're successful in something. The only cases of tattoes I've seen where it's not out of such inferiority complex is when the subject person takes up a dare while drunk.
