task bar disappearing problem..

ok today i was using laptop with my baby on my lap..n he suddenly hit the keyboard with both his hands n now my taskbar keeps disappearing whenever i maximize any window plz help

Right click on task bar --> Properties --> uncheck auto hide task bar

btw which task bar you are talking about ? I just told you about the windows standard task bar.

yes its the main taskbar with the start button windows 7

Nancy make sure you are following what Namaan said correctly because it sounds like your task bar is on auto-hide. Once you click properties the option to uncheck auto-hide task bar is under the taskbar tab.

^^ i have already unchecked the "auto-hide" option... even then the taskbar just disappears when i maximize any window

Press F11 to get the IE out of Full Screen mode.

Ok I just did some quick googling and it seems like an windows 7 bug . Nancy the quick fix would be to create a new account on your system and login with that and I hope that problem will go away .

and create new account.
