When ever i’m browing online, i’m getting annoying empty pages come up on screen, every minute or so. Sometimes multiple pages, some 50+ or so, continuously load up.
So i tried this NoAdware software, and i come to find out i had some severe and critical errors in my registry, so i went thru the list one by one and erased em. Anyway for the cookies, there is no link path, so how do i find them on my comp.
I have taken some print screen shots showing dets. Plz help.
Orpheus, HijacjThis alone doesn't solve the problem, it helps you identify the problem. AS DW said, run hijackThis, and post (copy/paste) contents of log file here or on HijackThis support site.
The problem with this sort of issues is that there is no out-of-the-box solution.
First you need to identify its roots. Tools like HijackThis help in that regard. It will tell you e.g. if there are some curious registry entries. Or if there are some dubious IE add-ons and so on.
Once the cause is discovered you can start searching for the solution. Here is where different sort of anti virus / spyware tools come into play.
Not one spyware is cure all kind of solution now a days. You have to run more than a couple to identify the root cause of the threat. Some of the notorious Trojans and spyware are not discovered by HijackThis either. BestBuy told me they run 130 different programs to identify threats that is why they charge 130 dollars to identify and remove malicious elements from computers.

I absolutely agree with the observation that you need a combination of several tools to discover, diagnose and repair.
