That's a longstanding hypocrisy of muslims of the valley. And it is one reason why people get scared of changing demographics towards muslim population at many places in world. Kashmir will be divided if ever a solution emerges. Pandits have been in exile for 20+ years strange humanity goes for a toss on question of religion. Yaseen Malik is a butcher of kashmiri hindus...Pandits will go back to valley soon and he can only lick his wounds..
Demographic situation of Kashmir are similar to that of Undivided India. In undivided India, Hindus were in majority and muslims were in minority. In Kashmir, kashmiri muslims are in majority and Kashmir pandits are in minority. When India got its independence, minority muslims got their homelands and were given and choice to go to their new homeland or stay in India. On the similar lines, if Kashmir attains independence, Kashmir will get divided on the religious lines. Just like muslims in India got their homeland, similarly kashmiri pandits will get their homeland in Kashmir, which they call Panun Kashmir (Our Kashmir). Kashmiri muslims leadership APHC All Party Hurriyat Conference, is keeping mum on this issue. They don't have the guts to convey this message to the local muslim population of Kashmir, a part of Kashmir will become Panun Kashmir. That is the reason, muslims leaders like Geelani and Yaseen malik are ready to invite Kashmir pandit brothers to kashmir but on the condition that kashmiri pandits will have to support the muslim Tehreek. Kashmiri Pandits have no reason to support the Tehreek of the muslims.
Its high time local muslims of kashmir should know this fact. Their leadership is doing a big blunder by not conveying them this message. Any state that has achieved independence in modern times has undergone division. Examples, India-pakistan was created, Pakistan-Bangladesh was created, Czechoslovakia- Czech and Slovakis etc. etc.
The people who will question or condemn the creation of Panun Kashmir will be indirectly condemning the creation of Pakistan because pakistan was created on similar ground, a homeland for muslims of India
