Taqdeer and Dua

Does Dua change our taqdeer? I understand that everything is predestined and already written then the question is to what extent do we have control over our fate?

Instead of opening another thread, I’ll add the question here, what is the Islamic stance on palmistry?

Yes we should always make Dua ...coz if We won't get what we want then atleast we will get Ajar (sawab) for making Dua in this world or here after.

Duaas can change destiny to some extent.

In my view Palmistry and other subjects like face reading will be considered part of knowledge as long as it is not used to predict future.
But if you go to a Palmist and ask for things which will happen OR you think that one can predict future based on this knowledge then its haram.
Same goes for Ilm Jaffar, Rammal or any other where it involves prediction about the future.

What about those who believe they can make thier own takdeer? To an extent this is possible is it not from what I understand Islam makes a lot of lee-way for those who strive towards a better future, just becuase some are down in the dumps does not mean that they have to accept is as Takdeer and not take any action. At least thats my summary but do correct me if I'm wrong. I thought i'd throw that spanner in the works in case anyone though it was takdeer to be taken for granted. Also I do believe if nothing else then Dua can strenthen ones inner resolve to keep on going. Even if they cannot alter the ultimate will of destiny they can have a plaseabo effect or sometimes even become a miracle in themselves.

Palmistry is all about fortelling the future. Once who have knowledge of it will say to other “oky the line of you palm says u’ll be this and that and not you was this or was that”. Read it history so you’ll know the palmistry is originated from whom/where.
