wanted india to be in kashmir first and wolpert said that he assembled 100 or so planes of all types so indian troops could fly to kashmir and an already weak Pakistan would not DARE to cross into kashmir!
THe british lower-level commanders posted in pakistan knew why the people were flooding into army jeeps and where they were going but they were sympathetic to our cause. Gen gracie is an exception to that rule!
