Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
The HSY one is a longtime favorite of mine!

Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
I am a little surprised here. I thought that HSY ribbon dress was unique and loved by everyone.
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
^^ haha not everyone mahi :p
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
Nayna all the way...Im a BIG fan of her stuff and her new bridals are HOT.
inthe last pic..does anyone knw where tht wedding was held? the venue name and country"??
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
The Pennsylvanian, USA.
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
See, even though the ribbon dress bride's outfit is gorgeous...the cut is very typical. Short shirt with a long fitted skirt...we've seen that before for years and years now.
I just adore Nayna's different cuts and styles.
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
That makes sense. :)
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
while I loved the wedding pictures, I didn't like the HSY dress much either. I could've easily passed it of as a heavy dress made from anarkali or liberty
Re: Tan/Mint Bridals - Which one?
^I dunno about that. I haven't seen anyone replicate the ribbon detailing very well.
I'll go with the HSY one. I might not feel the same about it now but when we first saw pics I was in love with it. The colour scheme, the design (the ribbon detailing and even the lengha cut; it is actually unusual) and even the kaam (which one no else seems to notice) which was a departure from HSY's previous style.
The Nayna one is a nice outfit but there is nothing different about it - the colours have been seen before, the cut of that shirt paired (and open front with bodice kaam) with janawar bottoms is all stuff other designers have bought in trend recently.
It doesn't matter that it's all inspired by other designers; if it's a nice outfit, it's a nice outfit. But it doesn't capture me in the same way.
