Someone once posted these pics in a thread, i copied them and liked the design so much that i had a replica done of the gala and sleeves, the gala doesn;t look as good but the sleeves turned out gorgeous!
Just wanted to share pics in that same thread, but coudn;t find the it
, so posting here, if anyone remember.

Re: Tamana's White dress
I posted the original thread! Omg you have a replica! i wanna seeeee
Also im getting this made too, but not in white, maybe osmething like red or navy :)
Re: Tamana’s White dress
hehehe… here you go.
Its one bead and one stone, i initially asked for stones only, but he said that will double the price, so he used one bead and one stone, but it is still giving that perfect shine.
I am very happy with the sleeved, they look really heave and perfect, however the gala does not have that perfect look, even though he almost exactly traced the lines and everything but still it looks a big empty in some places, maybe it will be better after stitching.

Re: Tamana's White dress
Thats quite a decent copy. Was it expensive? Im gonna get it made from India cos my best friend has tailors there who give a good discount, so hopefully it'll turn out nice. they tend to use stones and beads rather than dabka work though, but i think it'll look okay with this dress
Re: Tamana's White dress
What is the shape of your dress like btw? Is it a maxi dress as well?
Re: Tamana's White dress
This one does not have any dubka in it, it's all sequines, cut dana, stones and moti (beads) and resham tracing.
Well, i think i will make a panneled maxi like the one she is wearing.
I had it made in 7500, he intially asked for 8500 but i brought him down to 7500, i know its still expensive, usually i am like a phapha kutni when i bargain, but he was such an AS he wudn't come down, and since he is right next to my house, i knew i wud keep checking it.
Some other did quote me less but i saw thier kaam, and they tend to use cheap stuff, like a lot of dupka in it which gives a cheap look.
Overall i am happy with the result, i think it did worth it :)
Good luck for your copy :)
Re: Tamana's White dress
HOly,can u tell me how much cost it to u?stitched
Re: Tamana's White dress
Hey Catwalk, I haven;t stitched it yet, i am yet to buy fabric and find a good tailor, ( my old tailor suddenly turned stupid, guess he hired a new guy) cause i dont want to ruin it. i am leaving for home (HK) in a couple of weeks, i think i will get it stitched after i come back in feb. or, i may take it with me and stitch it myself, if i got enough time. will surely update you.
Re: Tamana’s White dress

Hehehe… finally worn! Looked gorgeous, really loved it, Its not complete yet though, a few stones and sitaras to be added in the very small visible net portion on the front. had it stitched in a rush so cudn;t add it.
Re: Tamana's White dress
Also, my friend had the exact copy made but used dubka instead of cut dana, which was slightly cheaper for some reason, since i think both dubka and cut dana are the same price. it looked a bit dull and cheap due to dubka work and the dubka thing gave a lot of trouble to her, as the dubka taars get tangle with everything, especially duppata. In my Gala above, its only stones, cut dana, sitara and moti. and it gives very attractive shine :D
Re: Tamana's White dress
Ooohh I like! It's very very similar, the only thing I would do if I make it is make it a bit longer cos I like dresses to sweep lower.
But very nice!!
Re: Tamana's White dress
Really nice copy holy moly!!
Re: Tamana's White dress
Thanks guys!! and thanks to my friend who helped me in making this dress, if she hadn;t find me a good tailor, it wud still be somewhere in my closet unstitched. She sugested the net part, she is a very good designer. and starting her own business soon.
Also the manish malhotra replica i posted in other thread is also hers. she made the changes.
I am making her a personal website, working on it, i have to admit i am a very slow and lazy programmer :D
will post the link here once done, she'll be emphasizing on low price for quality work.
