A seven feet tall fast bowler can be difficult to handle, if he is semi decent. Unfortunately, he is not a young pup and is already 27. PCB should get this guy into some coaching program pronto and see if he can be taught the skills to make a complete fast bowler and a cricketer.
^ so? The real problem is that he is already 27 and he recently started playing cricket, by the time he becomes a 'threatening' bowler he would be close to retiring as pace bowlers retire much earlier.
apparently, he's not 27. surprisingly (for a Pakistani player), he is actually younger than his "official" age... he's supposed to be around 23-24.
plus, we should get over this obsession with discovering 18 year old prodigies. there are only so many Miandads and Wasims out there. even if this guy is ready for international cricket by the time he's 30, if he can give us a 2-3 good years, that's great.
I agree the obsession with teenagers has to go. Irfan has done well in his second match too. Taking five wickets for nothing to bowl Karachi out for 87.
