Azad Massod (R) a 25-year-old, with a height of 255cm and Zainab Bibi (L) 28-year-old with a height of 210 cm, both from Pakistan, claiming to be the tallest couple in the world pose during their visit to Jordan with Jordanian Younis Edwan (C) a 29-year-old at a height of 64cm, in Amman September 12, 2001. Azad and Zainab are on world tour to prove their claim they are the tallest couple and enter the Guiness Book of Records while Younis who also is trying to establish his credentials as the shortest man in the famous book of records.
Now that is tall... 255 cm means the husband is 8'-5" tall, and at 210 cm the wife stands to be 6'-11". Alam Channa was widely believed to be 8'-3" tall, although a later measurement in Guinness book placed him at 7'-10". I had the pleasure of meeting Alam Channa back in 1993 when he was touring USA, and he was a very nice person (god bless his soul). As far as this couple is concerned, the husband does not look like he is almost 18 inches taller than his wife, but then the photographic angle could make a lot of difference. Anyways, very happy that Pakistan is getting positive projection.
