ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said dialogue with Taliban is the top priority of the government for peace in the country.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that a foreign power was carrying out drone attacks to sabotage process of peace talks with Taliban.
He said the decision to hold talks with Taliban was given by the political leadership of the country during All Parties Conference.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said negotiations were underway with different groups and hoped some good outcome.
He said the government welcomes those Taliban groups who will respond talks offer positively and those who will shoot bullets‚ government will respond in the same way. He said problem will not be solved by operation at one place only.
He said that both talks with and operation against Taliban are difficult tasks. He said that we are facing criticism for talks with Tehrik-e-Taliban.
Responding to a question, Chaudhry Nisar said that the terrorist who targeted Chaudhry Aslam was living in Karachi for last several years.
The interior minister said he could not discuss the attack in detail as any statement could affect the process of investigation.

**ISLAMABAD: **The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) patted itself on the back on Sunday after its chief Mullah Fazalullah and spokesman Shahidullah Shahid were named in the FIR lodged over the killing of police officer Chaudhry Aslam. “It is a reward for us that Tehreek-e-Taliban Ameer and its central spokesman Shahidullah Shahid have been nominated in the murder case of Chaudhry Aslam. With the grace of Allah Almighty we are not the killers of a weak person but nominated for killing a powerful man,” the Taliban said in a statement.
"We will keep on targeting important personalities in the future like we eliminated Sifwat Ghayur, Ajmeer Shah, Malal Saad, Hilal Haider and Major General Niazi," the statement issued by Shahidullah Shahid said.
“We also warn the police and intelligence officers to desist from brutal acts against the Mujahideen and innocent people as we can also be nominated in your murder cases soon,” he said.
He claimed that police officer Shafiq Tanoli’s team kidnapped and killed three Taliban members on Saturday.
The TTP spokesman criticised the media for what he called portraying murders as heroes, adding that the media always claimed to be the champion of the poor but its actions were contrary to its claims.
It seems only monsters are clear in their objective and committed to take more innocent lives. on the other hand, govt is directionless in their policy after 12 years and has accepted defeat to safeguard their own interests at the expense of innocent Pakistani’s lives.

Ch Nisar should order operations now, as keeping aside Fazlullah’s TTP I dont think there’s any substantial group left to talk to. Oh forgot, LEJ, keeping Punjab safe is important too.
What National Dignity? The government is on its knees begging taleban for talks where as the other party is refusing the offer and continuing with their killing spree (a slap on government’s face).

جنرل سے آڈٹ کرائے ، نادرا بورڈ میں ایک ممبر آڈٹ شامل کرنے کی تجویز ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ ایک آڈٹ مشیر بھی رکھنے پرغور ہورہاہے، جس طرح سرکاری رقوم اس ادارے میں استعمال ہوئیں ، مجھے اس پرشدید تشویش ہے وزارت داخلہ کے تمام ادارے آڈیٹر جنرل کی زیرنگرانی اپنے اخراجات کاآڈٹ کرانے کے پابند ہونگے، پچھلے 5سال میں نادرا میں8ہزار بھرتیاں کی گئیں۔اسلئے نادرا کا پر فارمنس آڈٹ کرنے کابھی حکم دیاگیاہے تاکہ اس کی میں برسراقتدار رہے اب جبکہ مذاکراتی عمل کے حوالے سے کوششیں ہورہی ہیں اس پربھی تنقید ہوتی ہے۔ مذاکرات اب بھی اولین ترجیح ہیں مگر اس کاکیا علاج کہ طالبان تحریک کی قیادت بات کرنے سے مکمل انکاری ہے۔ قیادت کی انکاری کے بعد جولوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ان پر چڑھ دوڑو۔ وہ وضاحت کریں کہ کون سے ایک علاقے پرچڑھ دوڑنے سے مسئلہ حل ہوجائے گا۔ ہمارے سامنے ظاہری قوت میں طالبان ایک جگہ مرکوز بھی نہیں ہیں وہ کوئی منظم جماعت نہیں کہ سامنےسے مقابلہ یا فوجی آپریشن کریں۔ ایسی صورتحال ہے کہ آپ کے سامنے ایسی قوت ہے جن سے مذاکرات کرنا بھی مشکل اورملٹری آپریشن کے ذریعے طاقت مسلط کرنا بھی مشکل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے بڑے مدبرجب تنقید کرتے ہیں تو وہ مذکورہ امربھول جاتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ چوہدری اسلم کاافسوسناک واقعہ کراچی میں ہوا اور وفاقی حکومت کوکہا جاتا ہے کہ کہ ملٹری آپریشن کہیں اورکریں کیا وزیرستان میں آپریشن کرنے سے Everyone knew here that I am a supporter of Bhutto and PPP .
But it will not a justice to not to tell you some realities about Ch Nisar Ali Khan .
I don’t know much about his early life as he was not much famous but there is no famous scandal about him . He is an honest man with no corruption at all .He is rude and strict and avoid to meet people generally but spent time for reading public complaints . He is quite different with our known politicians , prays regularly and never leaves ‘Tahajad’
IT is fast becoming a Sunday tradition of sorts: Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan appearing before the cameras and holding forth on a range of subjects, most notably the chimera of talks with the TTP. If it were simply about one of the senior-most government representatives trying to keep the public and the media in the loop about important national issues, the Nisar-on-Sunday press conferences would be a welcome addition to the public discourse. But the motives appear to be more cynical than high-minded. For the interior minister is the very same individual who has muzzled high-profile national organisations that fall under his watch — from Nadra to the Frontier Corps and from the passport agency to the Rangers — and who seems more obsessed with controlling the flow of information than focusing on the core aspects of his job. So, not coincidentally, now the minister has chosen the weekly holiday to hold forth on his views — and capture the headlines on what is traditionally a slow news day.
Of late, interior ministers have appeared to have a penchant for the media spotlight. But as Rehman Malik discovered, so too might Nisar Ali Khan: wanting to say something of relevance or import isn’t the same thing as saying something of relevance or import. Yet again on Sunday, the interior minister offered his contradictory assessment of the state of dialogue with the TTP: the TTP is not really interested in talks, the minister said, but the government is adamant that talks can in fact succeed. That would be silliness of the highest order — if the stakes were not so incredibly high. The interior minister appears to have staked his personal reputation on the success of talks with the Taliban — but characteristically for much of this government, he does not appear to have done any of his homework. Now, having learned of the difficulties that talks entail, Nisar Ali Khan is demonstrating that other great shortcoming of many Pakistani leaders: an inability to accept that they were wrong in their original prescription. Unhappily, while the interior minister can try and make a tradition out of Sunday grandstanding, that does little to address the fearful problems he has to contend with on the country’s behalf.

Everytime Federal Government decides to come public with their war policies or at least tries to say something on it, every Tom, Dick and Harry and armchair strategists in the media and public cries blasphemy and comes up with we know it all baloney. Does it really surprise me that army and the Federal Government don't even bother engaging with the media over such issues?
It would be nice to see these journos coming off their high horses and stop thinking that they are the one who make policies for the government, they really need to be worried and feel embarrassed over the fact the government or the army doesn't even think they worth sharing any inside information with. How much updates and insight do they have about establishment's activities in this regard? Zero.
If by chance the war is ended tomorrow, I'd assume that more than half of the armchair critics would lose their job.

When exactly did the govt ever announce talks to begin with? the APC resolution never saw the light of day. Its always been one operation after another, and its about time we as citizens, get our perspectives straightened out as well. For the past so many years, military operations have been conducted off and on in Baluchistan, FATA, Karachi (everywhere except muridke), and we all complain about those military operations in how they alienate the public and create divides...and now suddenly 'military operation' has become the buzz word. It is fun suggesting solutions, but it would be nice if any govt had the guts to actually act upon a solution for a change.

The day Hakimullah was taken out just 24 hours before the official launching of Peace Talks, I had a sly feeling that the Peace Talks would go under the radar and this is pretty much exactly what's happeningt right now. I don't know, maybe it was quite naive of me to think establishment would work on such controversial and dangerous policies in front of an overly attentive audience. I wouldn't be surprised if half the PMLN cabinet have no real information about the actual details of the negotiations.

Or maybe we should go by everyone elses playbook and send in the leadership of PPP, MQM and other brothers in arm to FATA. (if they can be coaxed out of their ratholes, or london, wherever they might be)
