I don't bother... 1) it costs 2) he/she will ring back to ask why I called anyway 3) don't ike the idea of talking to a machine. 4) I prefer sms and it's free

The funniest incident I remember, where a friend had recently landed in the US and set up answering machine etc. He and I entered his new apartment and the light was blinking. Turned out that his father had called from Pakistan. The message roughly went like this…" oye Akbar…? Akbar… kithay hai.. oye jawab kyon nahi daita…", then apparently the father turned to his wife and said “pata nahi jawab kyon nayee dainda piya.. phone tay hali chukiya si, awaaz vi ayee si… Oye Akbar!!! Akbar!!!..”

Oh well!

i pray for voice mail. i leave the message and then i know that they'll call me and I'll be ready to answer there questions etc.

Hahahahaha. My grandad does this kinda of thing too, only so many swear words inbetween shouting the persons name!

Re: leaving voice mails. If it's important then yes I do, proper long winded ones where I pretend that I am actually having a two way conversation as I know how the person I am calling will respond to what im saying. If it's not important, I keep calling till they pick up.
