That’s not saying don’t speak at all to men, is it.. or only speak if there’s an extreme need..
Also, what applied to the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) doesn’t necessarily apply to all Muslim women.. another ex of this would be the fact that they wore burqas with only one eye showing.. doesn’t mean we’re all obligated to do that now..
What they did might be considered ‘better’ but not necessarily obligatory..
