I don't think any voice can be seductive or non-seductive. Its the manner of talking, looking etc. which can be seductive or non-seductive. The husband has serious trust issues with his wife. If he is being overly religious, he could have asked the wife to talk to na-mahrams in rude manner and not in friendly manner. But why asking her to talk in deeper tones? Its really difficult changing your voice tones. She can increase the level of rudeness in order to not attract any na-mahrams and only talk to them when necessary.

Now, obviously when talking to strangers we become extra polite or civilized, it’s natural right? It doesn’t mean we’re hitting on them or anything?

If the wife has a seductive voice then i don't find anything wrong with the husband's request.Husband knows his friends more then her....wheter he is insecure or not it's his wife and if he is uncomfortable infront of his friends than the wife should understand his concerns...
