I am saddened by the lack of intellectual depth displayed by people promoting Taliban Islam. Please read history with unbiased views. There have been a lot of movements like Taliban in Islamic History that have done terrible things in the name of Islam and Quran.
Please read who khawrijis were. Before you start hurling shia/sunni insults, read the descriptions with an open mind. They believed and clearly stated they were doing it in the name of Allah. They were such devout readers of Quran that when Muslims approached their encampment they heard buzzing of bees from a distance and on getting to the camp they realized that over 5,000 were reciting Quran.
Please do not be misled by these preachers of hatred. Look at the way Islam was during the time of the Prophet (SAW), how he was kind and forgiving and how punishments were administered. The true Sunnah is the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) alone and there is no one absolutely no one who can claim to leave a sunnah to be followed except him (SAW).
Prophet (SAW) told us to follow two things after him that will stop us from leading astray Quran and my Sunnah , not the Sunnah of Sheikhan or Umayads or anyone else. He (SAW) is the last messenger and brought something to this world, no one can add or substract to it.
My appeal to all muslims is to look at how the Prophet (SAW) conducted himself. How many people were found hanging dead in the trees in city centers/markets, how he treated women, what were his views on education for all Muslims. How he treated those raised their voices against him in his presence and those who disagreed, on how many muslims he pronounced takfir and then let that be the criteria that you judge these so called champions of Islam.
