^ you're trying to have it both ways. What does 'enforcement' and 'gradual imposition' mean without 'physical violence or threat thereof'?
If people are not ready for Islamic Shari'ah, whatever that means, then there is no place for 'gradual imposition' or 'enforcement'. Make them ready. If you cant, thats your failing. Resorting to 'imposition' and 'enforcement' (and that can only happen through violence if they're not ready) is an acknowledgment of the inability of your ideology to win people over.
Just as Islam as a whole has the inability of winning the rest of the 5 billion people to Islam?
