My recollection was that it was a local football team from a Pashtun area (Chaman?) of Balochistan. I could be wrong.

I guess you are missing the point, the football team was Pakistani, but I was pointing out the flaw that “hardly a segment of population known to refuse to pray namaaz”. You were suggesting as if all Pashtuns are very religious, namazi etc, there are bad elements in all areas, races etc.

No, I agree with you there. I just meant to say that out of all the people in Pakistan who you can accuse of not wanting to pray namaaz, Pashtuns should probably be the last. Anyway, lets not argue on this minor point. The footballers weren’t punished for lack of namaaz.
