Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

and the terror continues … No body knows what the exact story is, but this is extreme. Beheading in public.

==========================================

DAMADOLA, Pakistan, June 27 (Reuters) - Taliban militants in northwest Pakistan publicly slit the throats of two Afghans on Friday after they were accused of spying for U.S. forces suspected of launching a missile strike in May.

The two men, one of them a former Taliban fighter, were brought blindfolded before a crowd of several thousand people near the village of Damadola in the Bajaur region on the Afghan border before they were executed.

“They were spies. Whoever spies for the Americans will meet the same fate,” Qari Zia-ur-Rehman, a Taliban leader in the area, told the crowd before another man slit the throats of the two with a sword.

The crowd shouted Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest) when the Taliban held up the severed heads of the victims who Rehman said were from the eastern Afghan province of Kunar.

Bajaur is one of Pakistan’s seven border regions dominated by ethnic Pashtun tribes and a hotbed of support for the Taliban and al Qaeda.

After the killings, shooting broke out in the crowd but it was not clear why. Two people were killed and seven wounded.

Rehman said the two Afghans had spied for U.S. forces who the militants believed were responsible for a missile strike on a house in Damadola in May in which 18 people, including foreign militants, were killed.

Two missiles were apparently fired by U.S. drones and a government official said at the time the strike had apparently targetted a mid-level, Arab al Qaeda member, who had been killed.

Islamist militants have killed scores of people in the tribal belt on the Afghan border on suspicion of spying for U.S. forces in Afghanistan but public executions have been rare.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

These people are ANIMALS! Other photos show the crowd laughing and almost asking for popcorn and coke as these poor guys got their throats cut. What sort of people are these guys? These are the same *******s who cry about "collateral" damage when they shield terrorists and get bombed.

Someone tell me that it is morally wrong to bomb that entire crowd to bits. Everyone that is watching with glee is not an innocent.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

And when will Pakistan take responsibility for not controlling such lawlessness in every part of the country? Yet come to the WA forum, every Pakistani poster starts a thread criticizing India whether it is for a protest march in Kashmir or a dog barking too loud in Kerala.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

pakistan cannot protect people within their own region . These killings are done openly and what steps are taken by the pak goverment? So now If i call these butchers (the person doing it + ppl watching it) anyone wanna disagree with me?

I havnt seen such cruel killings so frequently in any other part of the world.

Someone asked me few days back that why USA and Pakistan are not achieving desired result against Taliban, Al-Q and extremists. Though I did tell him what I believe, I was reluctant to put that on paper. Reason is that I am different from Taliban and even though I would like to see them eliminated completely, my prayer is that they get guided and become Muslim. Taliban may think that spreading terror and cutting the throat of other humans is Islamic virtue but to me it is evil and only Shaitanic cult can do that. As for Muslims, they are messenger of peace and tranquillity. Everyone feel safe amongst Muslims, be they Muslims or non-Muslims, and no one feel threatened from them. Anyhow, here are facts about Taliban and reason they are surviving.

What is fact? I think that Pakistan and even USA/NATO/Afghanistan, actually, all government forces fighting these extremists are fighting with their hands tied. Rules of engagement National government forces adopt is much different than what Taliban/Al-Q/extremist adopted. All forces fighting 'Taliban/Al-Q and other terrorists' believe on taking prisoners and they release them too. Rules of engagement 'Taliban/Al-Q and other terrorists' have adopted are rules medieval pagans use to adopt, where taking prisoners was not on humanitarian grounds but for purpose of slavery, ransom or prisoner exchange, else they kill their prisoners brutally, regardless of who their prisoners are. These people are ‘messenger of terror’ and to impose their authority these people believe on creating terror in the hearts of people. Whereas, present day government forces try to represent people (even in dictatorial rule) and thus believe that to impose their authority they have to create love and respect in the hearts of people.

We should remember that Iblis (Shaitan) loves 'human sacrifice', where humans kills other humans and forces of Iblis do not take prisoners but kill them brutally. Even when Taliban was fighting NA, they were following same Shaitanic rule of engagements and that was to kill prisoners brutally. Taliban use to kill their prisoners on spot or to save bullets they use to cut their throats or use to put them in goods containers where prisoners use to get slowly suffocated to death. Taliban/Al-Q/extremists do not care for any human, be they Muslims, old, young, women, children or whatever. This is what they use to do to NA prisoners, as to them nothing matters, be they human or whatever, as they themselves are not human but animals, worshipper of Shaitan but doing propaganda that they are Muslims.

Just imagine that we talk about ‘Guantanamo Bay’, but why? Because USA took prisoners to ‘Guantanamo Bay’ and many have also returned. But we do not talk about so many men, women, and children who died due to American bombing or who American soldiers may have killed. Why is that? It is because USA behaved like human and took them prisoners, some even returned home. If USA had followed same ‘principle of engagement’ what Taliban follows, then they would have killed them all on spot and there would not have been ‘Guantanamo Bay’ to talk about.

Same is true about people who got disappeared in Pakistan. If Pakistan would have killed them all as official policy of engagement, similar to what Taliban used to do in Afghanistan to their opponents when they were in power, or even do today to whoever they feel suspicious or take prisoners, then we would not have seen any problem of missing person in Pakistan.

We should remember that forces of Shaitan never honour treaties and agreements. Taliban are forces of Shaitan and thus are deceivers and liars. One can make any number of treaties or agreements with them, but they would never honour that. For these people, treaties and agreements are tool to deceive opponents and buy time; else it is worthless piece of paper.

If Pakistan was run the way Taliban use to run Afghanistan then we would have seen Pakistan security forces picking up anyone that looks like supporter of Taliban/Al-Q/extremists and shooting them on sight, without arrest, without justice, without investigation, without judicial enquiry, without going to court and without making them disappear. Being suspect would have been enough reason for execution. Rather, Pakistan could have started Friday execution ceremony in front of all Mosques, where 5 to 10 pro-Taliban getting executed so that others get the fear and learn not to join these terrorist. If Pakistan would have done that, then it would have been same policy of engagement what Taliban uses against those they consider enemy.

Actually, Israeli behaviour towards Palestinians is bad still it is more human than what Taliban do with their opponents. Unlike Taliban, Israel takes prisoners and release them too. Not messing about and taking no prisoners but cutting throats of prisoners or anyone they feel suspicious is way of Taliban ... so to wipe them out and eliminate them permanently, than even ‘way of Israel’ would not work ... Pakistan have to use ‘way of Taliban’ to get rid of them.

Though personally, I would still not approve 'way of Taliban' even against Taliban as that is 'ways of medieval pagans' and I am not pagan. My hands are tied because I am Muslim. If government was in my hand, I would instruct to shoot any person who is armed and looks like Taliban or is suspect of being Taliban supporter. Also those would get shot who would come on road in protest against such operation. In present situation what Pakistan is facing, a religious person should not carry or keep arms and if they do then for state they would be considered as not religious but terrorist in disguise. Similarly, those who would protest in public against government crackdown on 'Taliban/Al-Q/extremists' then those should be considered as terrorist too. In present circumstances, no judge, CJ or any person from Judiciary could be allowed to interfere with the security of Pakistan. If any judge would come in between this policy then he would get similar treatment what armed ‘Taliban/Al-Q/extremists and their supporters’ would get.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

^^ Not all but i do agree with u on this one.

Some People says it was not Taliban but the forces who want to kill the peace process between Taliban and Govt.

My Question to that group is, where they were when all this was happening? why people in big numbers are being killed? who will ensure their security, Or Taliban only good in blowing themselves up in crowded markets? and they are incapable to installing law & order.

Get Smart bhaijan. As soon as the EX CJ is restored. Apparantly he is the answer to all the ills facing the country. That is why the govt. is not governing and spending its time on issues such as how to restore the PCO judges. The Talibanisation of Pakistan is the last thing on the government's mind.

I have question...

Why Pakistani People follow or make hero persons like Iftikhar Ch. or Those Qaries who occupied Lal Masjid ( i forgot their name)? Why they think these people or ther criminal minded people like taliban is answer to their question?

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

its just so sad :(

and ppl who think these lal masjid wale or watever terrorists r mujahideen is even worse:(

its so sad to see its all hapening in pakistan or anywhere in the world :(

Why are you bringing the WA threads in here? You started with the smart ass comments there as well and then got your butts kicked so now you come whining here. Why don't you worry about the rising conflict in Kashmr and the trouble in Assam rather than poking your nose here?

Excuse me? So setting Christian missionaries and thier children on fire is merciful? What about the Sikhs? What about Godhra? what about the perennial cruelty faced by the Dalits? At least consider who you are lying to before pretending to be all shocked.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

And by the way, Indians would do well to keep out of the Pakistan Affairs section. You can do all your bakwas in WA, but this is a Pakistan Affairs. With all the other Pakistani sites infected by Indians (kaheen to jaan chor diya karo!) we need to debate Pakistan's affairs with Pakistanis, and if it canot be on this board, it will have to be somewhere else.

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

mufakkar,

why are you so afraid of the Indian view point? or is it shame?

on the other hand, you and a dozen like you have no hesitation to open a thread about how the cruel Indian railway canteen is feeding sub-standard rice to muslim passengers and scream for martians to invade India to restore human rights

Normally I wouldn't care about who kills who in Pakistan but history has proven that when things get too hot in Pakistn for you guys to handle, either somebody like Musharaf tries some funny business in the border or a 9/11 happens somewhere

And on top of all that is the absolute barbaric nature of slitting people's throat - your own citizenry is committing this and don't you think it is better that you seek help from outside since your own govt seem incapable of handling it?

I do not mean to insult Pakistan as a country or its people but lately the mess has been very intense

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

You can only control these people so much by force.these people got nothing to loose.
education, jobs , arms control and a good campaign against such things is the long term solution.
more important is the female education, after all kids learn from their mothers most.

i feel bad for those who are killed. even if they were spies they dont deserve such treatment.
god bless

apne ghar pe meeting rakh le!!:p

You don't even have enough dots to extrapolate that, lets keep hate out of here unless you want to imitate those who slit throats.

How many dots does it take before we can do that?

For managing risks with such catastrophic impact, we wouldn't wait for too many

Re: Taliban slit throats of "U.S. spies" in Pakistan

^ yeah, we can't "wait" too, lets press the 3 buttons.
