What to do with these losers?Almost one year old story but this should be exposed to the entire world,to show the world how these puppets think!!!
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
Coalition forces need to worry about Afghanistan and secure as much of it as possible. So far they've failed.
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
I think time has not come to evaluate coalition forces in Afghanistan.
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
My friend, that time came approximately 6 months after their entry into Afghanistan. Had US not indulged in Iraq war, the situation may have been different. But the wrong decisions implemented overtime have led to the failure.
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
Afghanistan is a country whose terrain is a different one and fight hardened TALIBAN insurgents find it a safe roost for hiding ,planning attacks and launching attacks over coalition forces. Moreover they are getting ample support from across the border. It will take some more time for coalition forces to establish their full-fledged dominance over TALIBAN.
Taliban is taking heavy casualities from NATO bombing. The latest news shows 80 TALIBAN fighters killed in air strike
Kabul, Aug 27 (DPA) Nearly 80 suspected Taliban militants were killed in coalition airstrikes and clashes with Afghan forces, while four Afghan policemen were killed in a roadside bomb blast in southern region, officials said Wednesday.
More than 40 suspected Taliban militants were killed in Sarobi district of southeastern province of Paktika Tuesday afternoon after the militants ambushed a police patrol in the area, Mohammad Akram Khepilwak, provincial governor told DPA.
He said five policemen were wounded and the ground forces called coalition airstrikes on the Taliban near the border with Pakistan.
'Coalition forces bombed the Taliban and killed more than 40 militants,' he said, adding that the militants' dead bodies were still on the battlefield.
Another group of Taliban fighters attacked a police patrol in Kheshawand district of the same Paktika province Wednesday morning, wounding a policeman, Khepilwak said.
He said that the police forces fought back and killed eight suspected militants.
In a separate incident, Taliban militants attacked a police post in Nad Ali district in southern Helmand province late Tuesday night, but suffered 18 fatalities, Mohammad Hussain Andewal, provincial police chief, said.
He claimed that no Afghan police forces were killed or wounded in the attack.
A suicide bomber attacked near a British military base in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand province Tuesday, killing himself and wounding three civilians, Andewal said.
British troops were not in the area when the explosion occurred, he said.
Separately, US-led coalition forces claimed Wednesday to have killed more than a dozen Taliban insurgents in volatile southern Afghanistan, while another four were detained by the combined forces elsewhere.
'The troops engaged the militants with small arms, machine guns, and close air support, killing more than a dozen militants,' the statement said.
No Afghan or coalition soldiers were hurt in the incident, the military claimed.
Due to the remoteness of the area, it was difficult to independently verify the US military's assertions.
In another incident, four police personnel were also killed when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb in Gilan district of southern Ghazni province Tuesday, Sayed Ismail Jahangir, spokesman for provincial governor said.
Afghan and US officials have accused the Taliban of having bases inside Pakistan, from where they cross the border and stage attacks on Afghan and international forces.
More than 3,500 people - mostly insurgents - have been killed in violence in Afghanistan so far this year, according to figures provided by Afghan and foreign military sources.
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
The issue with point-blank bombing is that along with the few bad guys, many innocent civilians are killed as well. From the recent raid where i believe like 80 or 60 civilians were killed due to the action by US/Nato forces, of which about 80% were kids, and the rest women.
The toll it takes on civilian population then creates more resistance. NATO/US have to work from the the ground up, and really work with the locals. Bad intelligence is the main culprit.
Re: Taliban recruit kid as a suicide bomber!!!
^True. But I believe they have got no other choice.Still I believe they are relying on ground intelligence to a great effective extent.
One example for how fatally an aerial bombing can go wrong, even if ample ground intelligence and reconnaissance are available, is during the battle for re capture of Fort Kalai Jang,in 2001 , when a bomb dropped by a bomber plane landed on the wrong spot kiling numerous Northern Alliance Soldiers, and the villain was JDAM !!!
