This statement contradicts Itself and further more with the very words of the Neo-Con ruler (the previous elected President of the States) GBW.
Inflicting a war on terrorism with direct involvement of countries like Iraq and the by that time “talibanised State”, Afghanistan. Blaming them of harbouring, providing training camps, weapons (maybe WMD, we will never know. Even If we knew we will not talk on the failure of assessment.), sending them abroad to succeed in the newly re-defined word taken from the Holy Quran - the “Jihad”. Letting those migrate (who we never wanted) by force and by diplomatic measures to the outskirts of Pakistan.

And yet every one believes this war will never end, creating more instability and destruction. More suffering and humiliation. The lust for power will never vanish.

Have the hi-fi technologies, means of know-how, strategies and geniuses mainly provided by the self defined “Always God’s blessed State of America” + her Allies failed to redeem the barbaric, poppy culture loving, sharia law imposing, beard growing and women torturing Taliban once and for all?

So are you going to move to Afghanistan if the Taliban win?

Will you have no problem seeing more Shi'as targeted ruthlessly by the Taliban?

The west never accepted 'democratic elections' in Palestine or Iran. How would they do it in Afghanistan?

Democracy is acceptable as long as you get the people you want. Wonder why USA and others never say a word about 'non-democratic' gulf states.

Unfortunately I hardly get time to be online on this site, although I do enjoy being here every time I join. I just have other responsibilities to take care of in real life.

I would like to clarify on my stance on this very issue, but reading this type of respone like yours I either believe in failure of forwarding my message to you and maybe many more like you. On the other side I could judge on the personal level and make you responsible for not trying to understand the purpose of the thread. Noticing only 2 responses I will make my decision: I suppose the communication is the problem.

What is your stance? Is this a rhetorical question or are you seriousely asking me for an answer?

Ali, Iran for one will not tolerate a win by the Taliban at all.

And if you think Iran, and the rest of the Shi’as, will somehow recognize and allow the Taliban to persecute Shi’as is ludicrous at best.

On another note, did you recognize the win by ANP in the tribal areas last year? :rolleyes:

A taliban Govt. in Afghanistan is a rude reality that American and NATO forces are coming to realize. Iran, unfortunately, will be left high and dry if it thinks that Americans are going to stay and neuter Taliban altogether. They're there to stay, and for every 1 that is killed, 3 come to replace them.

Iran would be wise to honor popular demand in Afghanistan instead of supporting minority Northern Alliance.

Geographically Taliban are too strong to be given the minority status because they stretch along Northern Frontier of Afghan/Pakistan border as well as Balochistan. The sooner "workable" taliban return to power in Afghanistan, the better it will be for the region because it's naive to think Hazaras are completely innocent of the treatment they got at the hand of pakhtoons. Sure there are elements of Taliban which are ruthless, no doubt about that, but the same elements are also found in other competing factions which struggle(d) to rule Afghanistan before the American invasion.

Taliban is a reality in the making, and if you don't believe it now. Just wait....
