KARACHI: The Taliban based in Orakzai Agency confirmed on Tuesday that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan chief Hakeemullah Mehsud is dead. However, Alam Tariq the offiicial Taliban spokesman has not yet made a statement.
Sources said that Maulvi Noor Jamal has been nominated as Mehsud’s succesor.
Government officials too have confirmed his death and have said that he was killed in a Shaktoi drone strike last month.
American and Pakistani officials had been saying Mehsud was dead since the past few weeks.
About mother*ing time. Now to kill the next **** in line.
Next in line is Maulana Noor Jamal. A particularly unpleasant fellow, from Dawn's description.
I wonder how long he will last until the drones get him!

Jamal is in his late thirties and was a maulana at a local madrassah before he was made the leader of the Taliban in Kurram.
*
He had a close relationship with Mehsud and is known for his brutality.
*
One resident who left Khurram for fear of being wanted by him said Jamal “...kills humans like one will kill chickens.”

This new tofan thing will be soon gone, remember it is 3rd leader of TTP in this year... this much killing of their leaders and operations against them must have effected their morale on the ground and their should be drifts inside the party as everyone thinking of other as an AGENT...
obviously some of us can be described as 'no scholars' so important information is missed. i know of atleast one islamic hadith that these people are in violation of (regarding innocent and bystander deaths) but pakistan as a state is also in violation of the Quran and sunnah on multiple accounts, if the truth may be told within the limits of my own knowledge
and obviously with the expected shouts of 'shaheed', its important to know another side of the story for budding armchair analysts
And some other imbalanced mental case is going to take his spot, and the killing will continue. Killing the head of the movement doesn't do much really.
