ISLAMABAD- At a time when Pakistani leaders are appreciating India for its support to the country after the Peshawar attack on Tuesday, former president Pervez Musharraf blamed India for abetting Fazlullah, the TTP chief who claimed the responsibility of the dastardly attack, in which 151 people, including 132 school children, were killed in Peshawar by the Taliban.
“Do you know who is Maulana Fazlullah? He is the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan commander. He is in Afghanistan. And I am reasonably sure that he was supported by former Karzai government and RAW to carry out terror attacks in Pakistan,” Musharraf told Indian channel CNN-IBN in an exclusive interview.
The former Pakistan president said the perpetrators of the crime were those trained by India. Taliban’s commander was supported by Afghanistan and India to carry out terrorist attack in Pakistan, Musharraf said.
Re: Taliban Commander Fazalullah has the support of India and Afghanistan: Musharraf
Guys, it may or may not be India, but keep in mind, for any terrorist org. like TTP, for them to run and sustain terror activities across Pakistan, it has to have a strong non-stop financial backing and backing of other intelligence sources that would allow them to plan and initiate a terrorist act and purchase arms and other equipment freely. These ongoing terror acts in Pakistan are a combination of support from both external and internal sources. To wipe it out, you would need to terminate all those internal targets first. Once that is done external ones would become ineffective and vulnerable automatically and would be easier to identify and be taken care of.
Re: Taliban Commander Fazalullah has the support of India and Afghanistan: Musharraf
Does Mush have any proof for this?
may be circumstantial proofs. Operatives of countries on missions do not carry ID cards and as I say, no matter who is involved in training and planning etc most of the time executioners are Pakistanis.
Re: Taliban Commander Fazalullah has the support of India and Afghanistan: Musharraf
I watched his interview yesterday. He said that he showed letters, invoices of Indian agents to India.
On the other hand, India never denied it.
Mush was very vocal on Indian involvement in Balochistan.
Mush was first leader who took action against TTP in FATA.
Now, TTP is working on the behalf of Indian sponsored terrorism…
Re: Taliban Commander Fazalullah has the support of India and Afghanistan: Musharraf
He may very well have proof, as he was COAS who had access to security briefings. He had been vocal when he was in the office, unlike our “Democratically Elected” ones who do not have the guts to spit a word in front aggressive world media. He is doing what Nawaz or Zardari/Gillani/Raja should’ve been doing when in power.
Re: Taliban Commander Fazalullah has the support of India and Afghanistan: Musharraf
Mush was also the one who kept saying that Bin Laden was not in Pakistan. Ex-COAS of not, he is either totally delusional or a damn good liar.
OBL found in Pak issue is too complex and complicated to be interpreted by anyone of us here. We can make assumptions but would never be able to connect the dots. Even many in the govt. except handful of people still do not know what had happened. He may not be in Pak when Mush was in the office, who knows. You can't just take that one blame and single him out. One of his weakness is being straight forward/blunt and that is the reason he kept saying OBL wasn't in Pak. Look at USA, before 9/11 they had intel feed about something coming, but did not take preemptive measures to prevent it. Its hard to keep track on who lives around the Potomac River (near DC). There are big ranches out there with God know what type of people live there, but even US with all the technology at handcan't keep track of those areas which are neighbors to WestPoint (equivalent to Kakul Academy).
