We got to go in and clean up NWA. I hope when we capture these bloody killers we do same to them.

PESHAWAR: As a brutal way of punishment, the Taliban in North Waziristan on Thursday blew up two men for their alleged involvement in the killing of 35 people in a recent drone attack.

Sources said dozens of Taliban fighters brought two handcuffed men and asked villagers to gather at Deegan and Mohammadkhel villages in Dattakhel Tehsil, 25 kilometres west of Miramshah, and wrapped them in explosives.

They said the Taliban commanders informed villagers that both of the men, whom they introduced only US spies, were supposed to speak to the residents and confess to their involvement in several drone attacks in which 35 Taliban and local people had been killed.

But, the villagers said, the Taliban commanders told them the two alleged spies were not in a position to speak to the people and confess to their crime due to time shortage and fear of drone strikes in the area.

The Taliban immediately tied on them sacks filled with explosives and forced them to stand on the dice, which was specially designed for the alleged spies. The militants and villagers were then asked to leave the spot and cables were laid to a distant safe place from where the militants triggered the explosives.

According to the villagers, the first alleged spy was blown away at Deegan village and the second one at a nearby Mohammadkhel. Eyewitnesses said body parts of the two men got scattered and could not be collected for burial.

The government officials said the blasts were too powerful which were heard as far as Miramshah. “We first thought it drone attack but later our men in Dattakhel told us about the actual happening,” remarked a security official based in Miramshah.

There was no word about identity of the two men blown up by the Taliban. Our Miramshah correspondent adds: The Taliban on Friday executed another tribesman for his alleged involvement in a drone attack in North Waziristan and placed his bullet-riddled body on a roadside in Mir Ali.

Tribal sources said body of a local tribesman was found with a note in Khadi village in Mir Ali subdivision. In the note, the villagers said, the militants accused the slain tribesman of spying on Taliban for the US forces in the neighbouring Afghanistan.

The tribesman belonged to Anghar Killay near Miramshah. Relatives of the slain later took the body to his hometown and laid him to rest in the village graveyard. Meanwhile, the Taliban released three tribesmen kidnapped three months ago on charges of spying for the US forces on Taliban.
