there is no secret and it is well published - US asked Taleban to disown and give up support of Al Qaeda. Taleban did not and hence the war!

There is no secret Taliban offered to handover AlQaeda leadership to 3rd country for trial. Go back to papers of May-June of 2001 you will see US wanted to attack Afghanistan nevertheless.
