you want to learn politics, flexibility, maneuvering, adaptation...learn it from Taliban...another master stroke.
IK, PMLN, JI, JUI ...all pro taliban voices who were quiet and were under-pressure amid barbaric taliban acts in last few weeks are now vouching for taliban again.....our shameless public (read masses in punjab) who always has sympathetic feelings for taliban will again be vouching for negotiations with taliban....i feel USA will lose patience and will start drone attacks after almost 3 months of break and it will provide enough ammunition to IK and Ch Nisar to blame US fo eveything and provide a clean check to taliban
taliban win again....master stroke!
I think one month is too long a time for these blood hounds to hold themselves back. They will again do something on some stupid pretext and then I hope that our government will not have muzakarat raga as an option anymore.

That would be done by "Teesri Qoowat" aka CIA/RAW.
"Taliban announce one month long ceasefire"
Translation: "Taliban announce they need one month to regroup".
Taliban are traitors. What we need is announcement from the government that any Taliban captured will be brought to summary military courts, and any group of party supporting them be banned.
Translation could be: taliban need some time to shift their leadership to safe havens in Afghanistan
While the talks are doomed to die, I fear that the onus of the inevitable failure would be laid at the door of the government from PTI, JI and JUI. Nawaz Sharif should try to take Imran, Munawar Hasan and Fazlur Rahman fully on board so that they do not exploit the likely collapse of talkes for political motives.
as long as drone attacks do not happen, IK, ch nisar, fazlu and JI will have little ammunition to save taliban.. but even if one drone attack happens, these folks will start blaming tesssri qowat
the reason IK and Ch Nisar were on backfoot in last few weeks was because US did not do any drone attacks for good 10 weeks and taliban still killed so many people...IK/Nisar were visibly so disappointed and were praying for drone attacks to resume...
to be honest...there is very little hope left for pakistan to win this war because there will never be national consensus and such wars can never be won without 200% national consensus

I wonder how miansaab will react if God forbids these animals do any more bloodshed in these 30 days and later call the ceasefire as thing said in josh e khitabat.
News only available on jang app... gunships pounded them hideouts again in last 12 hours.
I like these preemptive strikes. In the meantime we should secure our provincial borders.

i think Pakistan will have to fend for itself. US has too much on its plate, latest one being ukraine.
Gunships pound the HQ’s of the guy involved in the attack on Polio workers in Khyber agency yesterday. The message seems to be clear, you attack we retaliate.
If the army and intelligence is serious about ending this war and bringing lasting peace in Pakistan, shouldn't they be the one making sure that Taliban really don't get any chance to regroup and all attempts remain unsuccessful? Whose job is it too keep tabs on Taliban's activities? Certainly not Imran or Ch. Nisar's. Apparently there are two totally different and supposedly national institutions (sounds a LAWT more important than individuals, right?) that are meant to be working on such exciting little tasks.
Retrospectively speaking, Pakistan had won the war on the TTP the day General Kiyani walked out of the GHQ and General Rahil Shrif stepped in. Imagine the two generals and see the difference in their body language. General Sharif has brought with him a no-nonsense military philosophy of not missing any chance of retaliation. Just like the one quoted above. General Kiyani in that situation might have called out Haroon-ur-Rashid and had a 5-hour session of intense smoking.
When Chudhry Aslam was hit by the TTP in Karachi, I had said that the military should have an action plan ready whereby it could take out TTP targets in a matter of hours if the militants act against the state. That’s what precisely happening now. Now they will surely think twice before leaving their dens to actualize their villainous plans.
ISLAMABAD: The government has formally announced to stop surgical strikes against militants, reciprocating Tehrik-I-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) declaration of a month-long ceasefire to resume peace talks.
In a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, the decision was taken after Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan held consultations with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
The statement noted that the government had responded positively to Taliban offer. However, it reserved the right to respond to any violent activity carried out by the banned outfit.
On Saturday, the TTP announced the ceasefire and asked its offshoots to stop their activities.
The military had launched aerial and ground raids on militants’ havens in the country’s tribal belt, after over 20 paramilitary soldiers were killed by the TTP despite peace talks.
