As everyone has gone of tangent, why not join in the madness. Shri Truthjee, the Muslim population in Rohtak where my family is from, is about 0% percent. Have a look at the census of India website. In 1941, Muslims made 25% of the population, and in the rural areas they were closer to 35%. Neighbouring districts of Panipat and Karnal are equally with out Mualims.
Simlarly, Kangra was 7% Muslim, and the Punjab hills states were 10%. Himachal now has no Muslims left, except some nomadic Gujjars.
That 5% is made up entirely of the Meo in Gurgaon, and perhaps the Malerkotla Muslims.
So as Burqa said, in the old British province of Punjab, the minority population were entirely illiminated.
