ya nabi salam alayka ya rasul salam alayka
ya habib salam alayka salawatullah alayka

O Prophet, Peace be upon you.
O Messenger, Peace be upon you.
O Beloved, Peace be upon you.
The Blessings of Allah be upon you.

The full moon has risen over us
From the mountains of al-Wada`.
We shall ever give thanks for it
As long as there will be callers to Allah.

You are a sun, you are a full moon,
You are light upon light,
You are the quintessence of existence,
You are the lamp in every breast

The full moon has risen over us
Eclipsing all other moons.
Such as your beauty we have never seen
No, never, O face of delight!

O My beloved, O Muhammad,
O bridegroom of the East and the West,
The one Allah vindicated and exalted,
O Imam of the Two Directions!

O Prophet, Peace be upon you.
O Messenger, Peace be upon you.
O Beloved, Peace be upon you.
The Blessings of Allah be upon you.

You can just imagine the excitement in the hearts of the people when The Prophet Pbuh walked into Medina with Abu Bakr r.a.

When you go to Medina, I believe the wall is by Masjid Quba, where the girls sang this for him.

SubhanAllah.

JazakAllah for posting itsyou01!

Re: Talaa al-Badru Alayna (Nasheed)

Oh Thanks for posting this itsme & bizz.

Reminded me of the days when we used to listen to Yousuf Islam tapes all day…I remember the mesmerizing affect it had on me when i first learned when and how this tune was composed and who sung it first and when and for who…and then there was this egyptian channel that used to show a tv series called “Mohammed RasulAllah” in arabic with subtitles in english that we used to follow. the title song of that drama used to be mesmerizing too. In one episode they showed the ppl of madina waiting for the Prophet PBUH and as soon as they saw the dust rising in the desert women, men and children with small drums in hands began singing this in great excitement. It was great to watch a visual of how it must have been…Classic stuff. :k:

I think Junaid Jamshed should also sing this.
