Should I become an automaton and dice up my day. There is school in the summer, which will take up 30 hours per week. There is "work" which will take up 10 hours per week. There is more work that will take up a further I-don't-know-what, let's say another 10. There is GRE, which will take up about 14 hours per week or less. There is some exracurricular involvement that I absolutely MUST muddy my hands in, which will take up, let's say 5 hours per week. There is school-related X which will take up a very conservative estimate of 5 hours per week.
In total, per week, I am absolutely, justifiably busy for at least: 74 hours per week. This figure is much inflated in the fall. Now I don't have time for a paid job. What do I do to pay for school, food, and an apartment?
