So, I’ve taken my son, now 14 months old, to the barber . It’s always an adventure, mainly with me trying to get him to keep still. Today’s trip didn’t go all to well because he got hair in his mouth .
Should I just totally forget the barber shop until he’s a bit older? ![]()
Re: taking kids for an hair cut.
hmm, 14 months old? that's 1.2 years... i think give him an haircut at home, then once he's 3-4 start the barbershop
or just stick a lollypop in there :D lol i know i know they won't sit still even then! hate that!!!
Re: taking kids for an hair cut.
Some kids are just scared of strangers around them.
My son was like that. So we decided to make him more comfortable at home. My hubby would hold him, and my brother trimmed. He behaved better at home because he did not feel a "stranger" was attacking him with sheers.
You are funny , but it is true.
But those of us who cannot do it at home , there is no easy way. Even My 13 years old boy has to be dragged every time for hair cut. This weekend I had to tell him , do you want me to call the police to handcuff you and take you to hair cuttery.
For little kids the hair cutteries should have a magician or clown on call.
Good idea.
well i cant say that to a one year old:cb:plus cant cut his hair at home as dont want to make him a clown:@:
Re: taking kids for an hair cut.
lol - most of us do not know the "how to's" about hair cut, but, you must give it a try. I did! It's not that bad. (good enough for a hobby) -lol but soon realized hubby wanted me to cut his hair all the time! -lol
silly me, after seeing the barber's way of cutting hair - I gave it a try on my son. I used one of those shaving machines that comes with thousands of settings - lol. I was scared, but my son was really good! He trusted me so much at 18 months!!!
My confidence level went up - after people started telling him - nice haircut buddy! (no one knew I had done it -lol)
My hubby like it too. So he told me to give him a hair cut!
I was terrified, but he was fine with the end results! so I was hired for "free". I had to cut their hair till 2 more years.
I put my foot down after that! Cause I wanted a real paying job! - lol
