Taking false oath

something i get confused on:
in Islam we are taught not to lie unless the situation is dire or if it is to save someone’s life.
then i see on many Islamic forums where girls ask that they had a relationship with someone prior to marriage so should they tell this to husbands or not. Many scholars advise them that if they have repented and decided to be faithful to their husbands then no need to tell them about the past.
however, at other places it is mentioned that it is a great sin if someone takes a false oath by Allah. so if girls decide not to tell their husbands about their past but if they need to take the oath by Allah to proof they are not telling a lie, then what should they do? will taking a false oath in such circumstances where the intention is to save the marriage be considered a sin?

what are your views/info on the subject?

Re: Taking false oath

Does it say that only girls are obligated to disclose their past to their future husbands? I’d ask the guy to take an oath too. What’s the worse that will happen? He’ll throw you out. Ahhh, oh well.

I’m starting to have an issue with this girl-boy thing. Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot of junk. Here’s my favorite: oh wait, I’ll just start another thread.
