Does anyone know if it is permissible to take a DSLR to Saudi Arabia? I don’t want mine confiscated at the airport, hence asking.

Only yesterday I read a story on Flipboard of a Muslim photographer who created a series of photos of Mecca during hajj. I am sure he must have used professional cameras
