taking care of dry skin in winters

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

It says skin polish but trust me it works like an exfoliator. Just scoop it out with a spoon and rub it on the face in slow gentle circular motions.

It doesnt say what sort of skin its for but from using it i can say its for any sort of skin, mine goes from oily to dry.

Yes Im from Karachi, my mum I think gets it from D-Mark or Naheeds, dun think its expensive, its i think 100 -200 Rs. I think.

thank u! that will b a relief for my MIL :Dhmm... i juist hope it dusnt dry out my skin. ill definitely try it out!

Mall, Vaseline works well on u're feet as well as a foot balm called "du'it" so severe dryness "Aveeno" oatmeal body lotion is fantastic..

If u're skin is sensitive then u can use the St. Ives Walnut scrub for sensitive skin...Clinique has a mild exfoliant called the 7 day scrub.

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

Jergens Shea Butter lotion.. it's the BEST for extra dry skin whether it's face, hands or feet. I have been using it for over a year now and it's so amazing that it even healed my burnt skin.

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

can any1 tell me any water-based moisturizer of a good company

thanx Gina :k:

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

If you have very dry feet, then definitely do what Gina has already said with vaseline, socks, and then rubbing them with pumice.

However, I use Body shop and Bath and Body Works body butters everyday, have been using them everyday for the past 2 yrs and they are great but are not good for hands or feet where u need extra moisturizing creams. I feel like im like those animals in the winter that shed skin. The top most layer on my hands dries up and looks awful at times. the skin between my fingers also gets dry and looks white (which i hate the most). I used to use what shay mentioned, Jergens but now use Gold bond with shea butter, it is amazing. they have seperate ones for the hand and feet and they are gooooooood and not super pricey either. i think they cost around $5-$10.

Body Shop body butters are great for rubbing into skin at night and they smell great too

^ I agree! They smell really good!

WOW!!!!this worked like magic,heels r healed in less than 2 weeks :D

thanx Gina!!

^ Mashallah! That's great =)

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

hey gina do u know any natural exfoliator for the body?and can glycerin, lemon juice, rose water mixture be used on face?

Dont keep lemon juice on for too long! Orange juice and brown sugar is a great face-scrub! If u're in Pak buy urself "badaam ki khalli" use it with plain water as a scrub!

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

hmm..ok.wat if i keep it for sumtime n wash off later?can the same scrub be used on the body?

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

heyyy
i always sleep with vaseline on my lips..
and i once, i put vaseline on my hands, and wore gloves on top (lock in the moisture) totallyyy makes a diff..
also EXFOLIATEEEEE in winter - body:everyday, face: at least twice a week
Also vitamin A creme - LOVE IT - been wearing it every night on my face - gets rid of acne scars, and makes a world of a diff
also ive been told that women particularly should be taking vitamin d?...i dont know why - but im sure any multivitamin would help.

hoep that helps!

also in the winter - when you have time...you should apply oil every week in your hair --- it doesnt give that breakage and brittleness we often see.
Also in winter, you have to cahnge your diet a bit as we do get lazy more in winter --- so increase those veggies and fruits. DRINK TONS OF WATER..and ladies drink milk!

i lvoethat
it works amazing esp in the winter.

yes i know, my hands n feet feel n look gr8!

which vitamin A cream do u use?

Re: taking care of dry skin in winters

what is pumice stone ???

It's a stone that has exfoliant benefits for exceptionally dry and hard skin such as callous on u're heels..
