Taking Baby Abroad

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

i took aariz to norway when he was a 3 month old... and to sweden when he was 1 month old... i dont think age makes any diff.. if anythign newborns are a pce a cake to travel with on plane!

and baby has to be 7 weeks to fly long haul flights.. all star alliance airlines have that rule.. havent heard the 6 month policy ever!

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

We took our daughter to Pakistan when she was 2 months old (the airline was Emirates).... I popped in a pacifier for her to suck on during take-off and landing so pressure on ears was not a problem. I stayed there for 4 months, she was absolutely fine mashaAllah :)

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

french polynesia or vancouver?? maroush, woman, that's not even a contest!! french polynesia all the way!! lol

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

You don't go to French Polynesia with a baby, you come to Vancouver :@:

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

^ lies! lol :p
french polynesia is *exactly *where you go after baby- to rest, relax, recuperate and rejuvenate yourself. think about it- the beach, the blue, blue water, the fresh air... dammit, I want to go too!

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

Lol SGC! :omg: Well it’s a case of what Khumar was saying the other day… can’t remember the exact phrasing she used… but it’s like when people get excited about going to Paris and i’m all “ok.. and big woop” kinda thing :bummer:

And Vancouver is beautiful! And awesome for snowboarding… i need to get back into sports… i miss it! :frowning:

Sayyma, i’m going to check with the airlines that we will be using for either destination to see what their regulations are… thanks for the info!

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

van city is beautiful, i agree, but its i still say its weak competition for french poly. hoooowww about you send me to french poly and you can head out to van city with the baby? i think that works really well. :p

Re: Taking Baby Abroad

The only concern I'd have about international travel with an infant is the risk of exposure to things like Polio and other diseases which the baby is not yet immunized against. Best to talk to your pediatrician about this and also look into the travel info for the country you want to travel to - get all advice on prevention before you go.
