Is it not good to take a shower right after having a full meal? I have heard this from a few people that one should wait for about half an hour or so after he/she has a full meal before taking a shower. Is that true and what’s the reason behind it?

i usually hear desi mom say this...perhaps it's just one of those pakistani myths

Conventional Wisdom: After you eat a meal, your body diverts most of its resources to aid in the process of digestion. If you take a cold shower right after a meal, the body then has to allocate some of those resources -- previoulsy allocated for digestion -- to warm up the body, and, thus, running the risk of indigestion.
Not my theory though.

Now I remember that my mom also mentioned that it can cause indigestion.

I think it makes you fat. Just listen to your Mom and take shower before the meal. Instead of a shower, go for a brisk walk after a meal, that will keep you fit and healthy.
