I am very sorry but I am looking you more bias which you didn't look when you talk about Balochistan .
Apni Ghaltion ko pehchan lena aur un say sabaq seekhna boht zaroori hay .
Point scoring can not bring you forward as a nation .
Well do you consider it biased when the president talks about it? At least I am not a symbol of federation.
I just want to know if something like takht e Lahore exists or not?
Yes thats one point (due to the higher population), but still the policies and directions of the army comes from the top brass in military.
On a side note I do support more inductions from other provinces too, hopefully the situation will improve in that direction too in the future.
Well Punjab is around 60% as it is, but the percentage in the army has hovered around 80%. I think there used to be more pashtuns back in the day, but the army is trying to diversify itself by inducting balochis & sindhis. I remember someone asked ayub khan about pashtunistan vs. afghanistan and he laughed and said, look at the people around me and tell me why would I want a pashtunistan?
Obama also heads the most powerfull post in the world, but does that mean blacks are the majority in america? Sure, they are 12% of the population, but another definition of "majority" is thoI se who have the power, so in palestineans case, israel might actually be equal or lower in numerical numbers, but they are the "majority" that rule the area. Of course, unlike jiyalas, I don't give a free chit to their masters because they could have tried to develop their constituencies when they had the chance. I think KP's economic indicators would be better than interior sindh, because pashtuns have the will to get things done through hard work be it whatever it may be. Part of the fault of interior sindh lies in its people not revolting (doesn't have to be bloody) against their parasitic rulers.
I know a few jiyalas that would come charging me with their rhona dhona about race bla bla, but too bad that this political correctness has really taken pakistan down the drain.

There should be representation of all ethnicities in the armed forces there is no two way around it. The army should have carried out the diversification much earlier than today, but better late than never. Most of the people in the army are and always have been from Northern Punjab (Potohar area) and areas forming KP which is going on since the independence. Unfortunately being the most populous province Punjab is made a scape goat, but if you see Central Punjab (which is this term of takht e Lahore) has never had any role in the military or politics of the country if you minus Sharif's. Military has been controlled by North Punjab and the politics by 20-30 feudal families which every one knows where they reside.
Perhaps the army was scarred by the unhappy ending of the EBR & EPR? It shouldn't matter how much of an ethnic group forms an army if the army doesn't rule the country.
In the upper bureaucracy proportion of non punjabis is at a record low , similarly all the high performing districts except karachi and Lahore are army areas. This does not happen in other countries

The problem that we have in Pakistan is nepotism, corruption etc. Who ever comes to power picks and chooses friends and family members and puts them on key positions, when there will be merit then most of these things will go away as people with certain qualifications and experience will be put on the post which will not only increase the productivity of those organizations but also remove some of these grievances. Secondly somehow at some stage with development the government should try and weaken the monopoly of the feudals who have been ruling this country for the past 65 years, and thirdly the army should induct more from rural/under privileged areas and try to induct more people from Sindh, Seraiki Belt, Balochistan and KP to balance out the army as well (this should have been done much earlier).
This is another positive initiative by the army as they seem to have started diversification but certainly more inductions need to be done from Sindhis and baloch. Some changes have occurred during the past 10 years though.
These type of figures again can create misunderstanding about Takhat-e-Lahore.
Most of the Jawan’s or officers come from Chakwal & Mianwali where almost every 2nd person is in Army.
I know basically it's mostly Rawalpindi division (kahuta, chakwal, rawalpindi, jehlum etc) but anyways all that's part of Punjab at the moment. I am sure out of Punjab's share of military about half would be from Rawalpindi division. The share of Lahore, gujranwala, faisalabad and most of southern Punjab wouldn't be that much. By inducting people especially from the under privileged classes would have dual benefits first of all it would raise the level of some of the most poor of our society but on the other hand maybe their 'mentality' will also change towards the civilians. At the moment the class we have now in the army considers itself the martial class which is one of the problems that we have been suffering since independence.
