Ok ladies need abit of advice. Im planning to order a Sana Safinaz bridal for my wedding in november inshallah. I am travelling to khi in june inshallah so will place the order then. Now question is do i go back say in September and collect it? Or allow them to post out the outfit via courier. After speaking to them the lady at ss advised me that hopefully not much alterations would be needed if there is any, any decent tailor can loosen/tighten the outfit. or should i go back for the week and collect it.! Mum and sisters are saying DHL etc would be fine.! Any advice please x
Re: take the risk or no?
DHL shud be fine but obv if only you know EXACTLY what outfit ur ordering .. alterations shudnt matter thatt much .. unless they totally screw up the neck size or something ..
dont expect that outa SS who cost soo much! r u getting a new one made or ordering from their existing coll?

Re: take the risk or no?
Bella...I ordered from Karma, went to order in person and had someone else collect and then send to me. I didn't get to go by and try it on either. My outfit fit like a glove though. Only thing was that lehnga was a little long but with my tall heels even that turned out to be OK.
From all I've heard SS are pretty reputable designers. I'm thinking you should be OK. Maybe have someone pick up the outfit for you or check it out (to see all is as requested) before SS DHL it - do you have someone who can do this for you? If you have the money and time then sure a trip there to pick it up would be ideal.
Re: take the risk or no?
I think it's probably ok. Talk to them about your concerns. Ask them what happens if the suit is damaged or lost, worst case.
Get them to send you pics of the completed outfit. Or skype them to see the completed outfit. This would allow you to see any major mistakes.
Small size alterations etc can be made by your own tailor so get them to ship it. Going twice would be expensive.
When you go the first time to put your order in get them to put everything in writing. If anything was to go wrong or was not the way it was supposed to be once you've recieved it you can send it back to be fixed. If they are as reputable as people say then then this should be standard practise.
Re: take the risk or no?
id feel better if u had a go to person checking it out for u and bringing it back
Re: take the risk or no?
you should be fine with DHL ordering it. SS are reputable designers - they're not the Hajra Hayat's of this world lol - so i really dont think you need to go twice. just make sure measurements are taken properly and checked twice. maybe while you are there they can make the jora for you in cotton just to confirm fitting. i can't remember the term for that now... ladies?

Re: take the risk or no?
nahi lekin material material me farq hota hay. belle id rather u have someone u trust to be there checking things out cos as reputable as a designer may be they dont have the time nor the inclination to get online and update you as regularly as a friend would. so for your peace of mind, find someone to do that for you
This is the problem demmi my family r usueless out there and i dont trust them enough to take responsibilty of my outfit, theyl probably go back and say i said do something different.!
SS did say they make a cotton fitting first after first consultation and come back next day for fittings, and then leave it with them, im hoping when i get out there i have a clearer picture of whats happening and what isnt inshallah

there u go ^^^ we long distance brides dont have a choice some times ...
I'm taking an even bigger risk and doing everything here from the UK. Arghhhh. Can't visit Pak so just sent measurements. Don't even have time to get samples sent back and forth. So crossing all my fingers and toes and hoping Insha'Allah all will turn out for the best.
Re: take the risk or no?
My SS was picked out by my MIL and I received it Three weeks before the wedding. I hadn't even been there in person to give my measurements and it fit beautifully. The only alteration I had made was to tighten the sleeves a bit. The only other advice is their Kapra is soft and kaam heavy so give the gala measurement a little smaller than u might think to. Cause my gala kept sliding a bit fwd even after I had pinned it.
Ooo this has definitely reassured me.! If your jorra turned out lovely without u even going then i have hope.! Thank you.! And i don't usually wear big necks but i knw the bridal ones need to be bigger to allow for jewellery i will deffo keep that in mind what you said to keep it abit smaller
