Take of speed of a 747 ?

Does anybody knows the take off speed of a Jumbo 747 ?
-Salman

which one u want?
the 747-100? 200? 300? 400?

why u wanna know btw? :konfused:

had to look up to be sure :)

It s different: check payload, weather circumstances and several other things. but it s between

with full load it can go upto 160 kts (knots)
with minumum load 120-15 kts

I think the FBI should be watching this thread really closely. :hehe:

If it is all ready to go then it is pretty quick.

:hehe: :smack:

1 nautical mile = 1.85200 kilometers= 1 knot

what else do u want to know?
I ll check up on thread later on

There is no set standard on this except for when the flight is operating
without payload on DOW = Dry operating weight with fuel only. Wind factor is essential here ( A 747 can take off with a modest thrust into the wind approx 180-250kmh - ground speed ) this is totally different with DOW+PL+Fuel,,,,,,,,

A cessena with double the ground speed of a 747 requires more runway
then a 747 at half the speed. So it all depends on Weight/Balance/Trim

Did you know ?
A Wide Body flight on critical weight/balance/trim restrictions has to leave some Passengers/Cargo/Baggage (Payload) in order to fly and reach the destination. This is done when a maximum fuel uplift is required even if the flight is a shorthaul.
more later,,,,
