Is is OK to say take care of yourself when we part and go on our way. It is very common in Western culture and it is getting in Pakistan to say Allah Hafiz and take care.
We believe Allah(SWT) is Hafiz meaning Allah takes care of everything and anything so how can we tell others to take care of themselves ?
If it is not a good practice than what is the alternative ?

If you are parting from a muslim it is always a good idea to say Fi Aman Allah (May you be in the protection of Allah)...or in urdu Allah Hafiz. It is always a good practice to utter Allah's name in everything you say and do. :)
