Take a look at me now

Go back 5 years in ur life.<<

Where were you?
What were ur dreams?

Now go back to today

Are you there?
Did any of those so called dreams come true?

For me:
Five yrs ago I was a 17 yr old with many a dreams in my head. Did I accomplish any? Nope! Did things go as I planned them? Hell no!
Now I’m a 22 yr old wondering where I’ll be in 5 yrs

What about you?

I had exams of my Honours program exactly 5 years ago in May. I was worried about job because I was unable to secure any job before my exam. I was planning to fill more application forms after my exams. I had one exam to go on 30th May. A day before that I got a call from a company where I had worked in the past as an Intern and I was called for an Interview. I told them I was busy in the exam so I went there after exam and got job before my graduation. I can’t believe it was 5 years ago.

Hmmm…

When I was 17 all I wanted was to ind that one special person in my life that would take all my troubles away and always be by my side…once I had him then I woudl never end any other form of companionship in teh world.

Another thing I wanted to do was get a change in the way I looked…I was tired of being a tomboy and being “one of the boys”

Was hell bent on being the best at college and do a degree in Computer Science and become an A Class Programmer

And NOW!.!!!

I have found the man of my dreams…my life partner and my companion till the end

I hav suceeded in changing that tomboy look too  (credit My Knight  )

As for being the best in college…I’m as good as I worked to be and I am gonna graduate in 3 weeks in Internet Science…but as for being an A Class programmer…I HATE programming SO MUCH now that I’d do ANYTHING but that…

Rest is all good

Ohh and I guess I never got to become WWF Champ either :hehe:

i dont dream of impossible things, so am not much disappointed....

5 years back, sitting with my best friend in undergraduate days, i remember telling her that after finishing the bsc, i'd go for masters in mba and seek a job as a manager....
and wud not continue msc in the same field (i.e. engineering) cuz i'd end up teaching in the uni if i did, which i find very dull....

today, i am teaching in the uni, after completing my msc in that same field....
and she's working in a bank, after getting her msc in finance....

apart from that, everything's fallen to plan....

When I was 15, all I wanted to do was ride a 750 (motorbike) as fast as I could. :D

Ok, so maybe it wasn't 5 years ago :-p

five years ago i was married to someone i never knew......had a mix of doubts n dreams

now ...doubts r no more there ....n dreams have come true :)

Ouch Shinoo. I am pretty much back to where I was 5 years ago which is not what I had thought or wanted. It has been a vicious cycle. This time I will get out of it though.

Five years ago I was stuck in DC for a year, getting a beat down from my manager on modeling financial scenarios for non-ecofriendly companies.

Today, I am pissing on a newbie about what I want to see in a PPT and where men should buy proper shirts. :smokin:

And LK honey…keep it under 5 sentences. I am old and as much as I love you, I can’t seem to read past line 3.

:hehe:
SO Ahmadjee,
Kya hua phir? How fast did you go?

Guys thanks for replying!

LK: :k: Good to know that some dreams do come true.

khan_sahib:
Yep time flies :frowning:

armughal:
I have never dreamt of impossible things so nope, am not disappointed  Am happy with how things went.

Can’t believe 5 years gone by!
Completed my MS end of 1997, spent 3 luxurious month in Pakistan. Was desparate for job, got a job in May and then 2 months later switched for a job that I thought was “BEST” and aligned with my education .

Five years ago I was contemplating my career as a Pakistani pop star being at the crossroads. For indeed I am none other than Junaid Jamshed posting under this nick in order to keep my identity secret

sanwali saloni si mehbooba, teri chooriyaN sharang karkey-ey-ee-ay, etc.

Go on finish that song!
(in other words: I don't believe you!)

Shinz, it’s better that I don’t finish that song and you don’t believe me, I don’t want to blow my cover :ahaa:

5 years ago:

  1. Moved countries
  2. Started IB. Education has been a big thing in my life.
  3. Wanted to follow in my dads footsteps.

Now.

  1. Not moving every goddamn 2 years. I am finally staying put for a decade.
  2. Finishing of my masters. Ditto as in 2 before.
  3. Parents dead against it, heck my dad talked me out of it. So no following in my dads footsteps. Now that is a bummer. My dad has a kick ass job.

I must say CM. Over the years I have seen you grow up into a nicer young man with some intelligent points to make. Much like X-treme here. Education has a boon for you. Good luck in your pursuits… :k:

Too late for that!

CM:
ANy major changes, regrets in those 5 yrs?

Regrets? Didnt ask this hot chick in Cairo out. Now that i do regret.

One regret. I goofed off too much when i should have been studying. Instead of skipping class and stuff. I would actually hand in work on time or even do the work.

Matsui the ever sarcastic one.

i was a retard 5 years ago, a stupid moron a fool.... and now after one thousand 800 days i still have the mental capacity of a smelly toad

Atleast there was progression.
