Went out to a resort on the weekend with my cousin, her hubby and son and their friends. My cozins only just moved to where we live a few months ago. Previously I didnt really have any family in dubai, nor did we have a lot of family friends.
For the first time, I actually went out for a picnic with like 25 other people, stayed up all night playing games and laughing and just chillin and having a good time. Can’t explain it but the 24 hours of total cut off from the world and just having a good time has so totally eased me up.
The interaction, the laughin, the sitting under a tree and doing nothing just felt good. Oh yeah that and splashin around in the pool with everyone! (First time I dared to wear a swim suit in public after hitting puberty!)
Sometimes all you need is a break…being far away from my current situation made me realise how trivial the things I worry about are. I hope this fresh new perspective lasts.
Yeah thats the only form of entertainment after a loooooooong and hot year in dubai. Everyone goes out for picnics and really is fun. Living the whole year in ACs makes u feel sick sometimes u need to get the fresh air. And this is the time ...
I love picnics, i also badly need a break from wordly affairs... but its too cold 4 a picnick at the moment so i guess that i'll have 2 do something else :p
I think we all deserve a break atleast once or twice a year. It helps you stepback and relax a bit and even re-evaluate your life :) I always love to "get away" once a year. It is so refreshing!
