Make neeyah for two rakah salah (nifl). You can offer as many as you wish in sets of two.

My understanding was that it can be from 2 to 12 .. but since it’s a nafil yes with it’s definition, that also makes sense.. Wallah-O-Alam Bith-Thawaab … perhaps, we require a more better reference and I will appreciate it if someone can provide that.

Also what I know is that Tahajjud nawaafil can be offered before Subah-e-Saadiq, that is just before the start of Faj’r.

You dont need to ‘remember’ any neyah. Neyah is simply the act of thinking that you are going to pray 2 rakat nafal for tahajjud. You dont need to recite anything for neyah.

For any namaz, or any deed you do for that matter, the neyah is simply making up your mind to do that.

So for 4 rakat farz at zuhr time you have to think in your mind that you are going to pray 4 rakat farz for Zuhr.

If some one has Qadha namaz- then it is recomended to do niyah for qadha namaz rather then for nafl namaz-Same applies for tahajuud- I have heard ulema recommend this-
