Tajikistan bars women from mosques

DUSHANBE: Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov Saturday ordered women in the former Soviet republic neighboring Afghanistan to stay at home for prayer rather than attend mosques with men in order to avoid inter-ethnic conflicts.

“Mothers and sisters, the young women of Tajikistan, please freely read your prayers at home, no one is trying to offend your rights,” Rakhmonov said in a speech commemorating the republic’s constitution day. “We should not make honest religious disputes into national conflicts.”

Rakhmonov added that some mosques were home to religious extremists, who were preaching racial hatred and “terrorism.” afp

Interesting, I have been there, but couldn’t see any of these mosques, where hartred and terrorism was preached. There are surely some other intensions in their minds.

tajikistan is ruled by tyrant and thus nothing is unexpected from them. islamophobia is just a pretext to undermine religion and the call for more transperency in the communist run system.

The tyranic rule is a must in that region, otherwise export of hashish, heroin and opium would suffer under human rule.
