The funny this is ..everytime a politician wises up to the Army and Establishment game like Qadri, they are branded as traitors and power hungry. Power hungry politicos in Pakistan rarely leave something for nothing and they always ally themselves with the government in power.
As for the rest it has always been Pakistan's establishment that has created leaders more used power grabs then principles or clean politics.
Even in the best times of Musharrafs favourite word "sham democracy" (which leads you to wonder what he thinks this present system is), the leaders rarely had full control over decision making. The ISI's involvement in making and breaking politcians and interfering in the electoral process is legendary.
From the appointment of Junejo to the creation of Nawaz Sharif..leaders are made and unmade..and when someone realises in disgust the games that are being played..they are usually called traitors and smeared..

Traitor! Who?
Mullah Qadri and his followers are the ones to call others traitor. Here is an excerpt:

ISLAMABAD, July 29, 1999 (PTI) — Turning the heat on the Nawaz Sharif government for its debacle in Kargil, thousands of protesters marched through Rawalpindi demanding the ouster of the Prime Minister in the second such mass rally within three days.
Raising slogans of "go, Nawaz Sharif go", the rallyists yesterday termed Sharif as a "traitor" for the Kargil fiasco and demanded his "immediate removal and trial".
The rally, organised by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) of Allama Tahirul Qadri, was also joined by followers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan and the Tanzeemul Ikhwan.
Addressing the over 20,000 rallyists, PAT Chairman Qadri said a grand alliance with some other parties including Imran Khan’s PTI would be formed shortly and declared that they would launch a countrywide agitation to unseat the government.
Qadri termed the rally as "a huge success and a virtual no confidence" against the government and claimed that people had realised that Sharif "bargained" in withdrawing the so-called Mujahideen from Kargil.

Or you still believe that Qadri was an ISI agent working on behalf of bad bad army, and trying to topple Sharif?
Hahah! Baba leave these conspiracy theories. They won't let your mind free and honest.

Actually the theories are well known facts..ever heard of the Mehran bank scandal and Operation Midnight Jackal? Or are you going to tell me the creation of the PPP patriots and stopping the PPP from forming a government in Sindh after 2002 were cases of politicians acting on conscience? If you believe those were cases of people's "zamir" your mind is way too free and honest lol..

I can see people can't remember what they posted 6 days ago. How the heck they can recall something from July of 1999.
Baba! this thread started with the name of Mullah Qadri, with a news item about Mullah Qadri, and the actions taken by Mullah Qadri. Why do you run away when the responders to your thread talk about Mullah Qadri. Simply because you are afraid of losing your face?
Mullah Qadri created instability in the country back in 1999. Our Mr. Flip Flop (Imran-Jamima) was in Mullah Qadri's pocket as well (read the news from July 29, 1999 as posted above).
As a result of Mullah Qadri's actions, we got instability in the country and we lost an elected leader.
Now Mullah Qadri is again after the stability of Pakistan. I think this Mullah is ready to be sent to long vacations in Gitmo.
^ actually most of the effort to pass laws has been made by the opposition. The PPP has tabled multiple bills on reforming the blasphemy law and other issues, almost all have been defeated by the Musharraf League or stalled in committee.
The Musharraf League is only interested in keeping people happy with Ministerial berths(this is the largest cabinet in Pakistan's history)..not laws.
Please when replying.. re read my statement. As I stated i was referring to the opposition as a whole, let’s have a look at some of the bills tabled by the opposition:
For instance, it is a moot point why the government has cold-storaged both the Hudood Ordinance bill and the bill on honour killings (karo kari) presented by Pakistan People’s Party. The latter was painstakingly drafted in consultation with the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Aurat Foundation but has been pushed to the sidelines by the government. The PPP bill, a party bill since it was steered through the Central Executive Committee of the PPP, was sent to the Standing Committee and has been sitting there for the past six months. Meanwhile, the government has drafted its own bill and presented it before the house without reference to that comprehensive bill.* Dailytimes
You can google for the PPP and it’s tabling of bills over the blasphemy law.
Maintaining a quorom is a requirement of the sitting governments MNA’s..this government can’t because all the Musharraf league MNA’s know they are powerless. Interestingly besides being the largest cabinet in pakistan’s history this government has tabled less laws then any of the pre 1999 governments.

why so much hate against the men who from the age of 18 are ready to shed each drop of their blood to defend the likes of you and me who sit in our homes or thusdands of miles away from the land we are supposed to cherish...? what wronf have they done you personally that you call them 'na-pak'!? and might i dare ask what good have the flag bearers of democracy aka the corrupt political cadre of our society has done for you or many who whine with you and call every pro army commentator naive and ignorant (like ChaChoo above). what makes you not so naive and well informed on the truths!? spill it if theres some divine truth that only anti mush anti army ppl know. or is it just that such ppl are plainly missing the blessings bestowed upon them during corrupt civilian rules in the form of huge industrial loans, plots etc coming in as favours which isnt happening now, atleast not as much...
this argument wont ever end...
what got me here was the use of the word 'na-pak'...next time you hear of or see any shaheed soldier of pakistani military or see one ready to shed his blood for Pakistan, think of what youve called him here...i hope you'll like to take the word back...atleast the 'na-pak' soldier would smilingly die to defend us or an inch of our land on a pay scale of a few thusand rupees...what would a civil ruler do for us...or has ever done for us...?
call me bonapartist...maybe that school of thought should be adopted by all...
