If there is something you want to ask Allah, start praying #tahajjud
Tahajjud time is on even 15 mins before #fajr so if you are a heavy sleeper you should try waking up atleast 20 mins before fajr and offer tahajjud.
“If there is something you want in life and you are not praying tahajjud for it you don’t really want it.”
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi
‘‘The Dua made at tahajjud is like an arrow that does not miss its target.’’
Imaam Ash Shafi (ra)
The above two sayings are not random quotes they are so very very very true!
You want to be a Scholar?
You want Money?
You want Jannatul firdous Al aala?
You want to pass your exams?
You want Kids?
You want to memorize Qur’an?
You want good health?
You want an amazing spouse?
Raise your hands in dua in tahajjud + be consistent, Allah loves hearing our duas.
ameen. may Allah be pleased with your father ameen, my mother offers tahajjud regularly MashaAllah la quwata illa billa, and i just get happy to see her no matter how late we sleep, no matter how tired she, but still she wakes up, and perform tahajjud and recite quran and all and i just feel whole world is sleeping and amma wakes up subhanALLAH. And amma tells leave witr so you can easily wake up for tahajjud for performing witr, this is how she became regular.
According to scholars if one can not wake up before fajr, it is better to leave witr after isha and then pray few rikaat just before sleeping and then pray witr.
it will have benefits of
Praying tahajud inshallah
Sleeping in state of wudu, thus following another sunnah.
But only important thing is not to waste tahjud. Commiting sins or considering that i am doing a very good deed or i am better becuase i am praying tahjud etc will have a much worse impact. Some one not praying tahjud but trying to stay away from sins may be is a better person in front of ALLAH.tahjud is for one own self whereas shaytan makes one believe otherwise.
In quran it is one of the sifaat of muslims that they do istighfar before fajr. (Wa bil as-har e yastaghfiroon )
Then it’s Qayyam Al Layl; which is also very rewarding. The reason Tahajjud is given emphasis is because of the effort required to get up from the depth of sleep. Allah knows best.
There’s a hadith the reference for which I can’t recall right now. It’s reported to be in Sahih Bukhari. I was able to find the following by searching some words of it as I remembered them:
