omg omg omg...I have so many
1) When brides wear a golden crown. Yes, I mean it. An ACTUAL crown on their heads. They look like total idiots.
2) When brides have a really large poof like in the 80s in order to hold the dupatta.
3) Bright pink and gold makes me cringe.
4) Bra straps showing in professional photographs
5) Psychedelic colours on bridal clothes like vomit green and orange. That makes my head dizzy.
Oh, there are loadssss more but can't think of any others at the mo!
the golden crown thing is traditional to south indian christian bridal wear....so don't knock it because i've seen it look pretty just as it looks pretty when hispanics wear one at a quincenera or some girls look cute with it for prom and american weddings.
i like the poof, my best friend has thin hair, they didn't have hair balls or anything to build her hair up and she chose to wear a matha patti... it looked really dumb bc her dupatta setting looked like crap because of the lack of hair.

- bright colors should be worn at dholkis, mayyouns, and mendhis I really like it when girls wear a paranda because i think that's a good thing about our culture's fashion trends.
**as for french manicures being discussed earlier, they are classy. as someone mentioned stones, designs can tack it up but french manicures on their own are very pretty.
**On a side note I normally hate colored contacts but that one chick posted her wedding pics and she wore blue contacts and it looked really nice on her, so maybe women in general should be cautious. It can work for some, and make others look like a ghost is possesing them.

I HATE GLITTER IN THE HAIRSTYLES OF THE MOTHER AND THE SISTERS, ESP ON THE EYES. JUST SAY NO TO HARSH GLITTER. Shimmery makeup is one thing but chunks of glitter is tacky.
I think its tacky when girls wear too much gold.. some girls are so super tiny and their sets look like it's weighing their neck down and just takes from the girl's beauty or her outfit.
I hate it when brides never smile ...that's the worst. who wants to look back at pictures on their happiest day and see a blank expression or worse a sad one. Not i.
oh and india produces lovely bridal wear and a lot of time bollywood trends do set off paki trends in color schemes and such.
