My laptop is huge and heavy, I can’t carry it around in the lab. So, I’m looking to buy either a notebook or a tablet or just a smartphone.
Smartphone: HTC Sensation XL or Samsung Galaxy S2 (I’ve heard they’re far superior than the Apple iphones).
Notebook: Don’t have a clue which one I should get.
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Apple Ipad2 but I’m going to have to get a keyboard dock with these but is it worth it? Might as well buy a proper notebook then?
Depends on what you need your tablet for. If its for small computing, some browsing, searching, email and all then go with the tablet and have a keybpard.
If you download/save//burn/transfer contents off DVD and flash then tablets are not for you.
No, I won’t be doing any of that, TLK bhai. I’ll use it mostly for college work so I’ll be downloading journal papers, reading them on the tablet, browsing the net, youtube etc.
I would say go for either a tablet with keyboard or netbook - these are smaller and easier to carry around. Smart phones are too tiny to work off of for long periods of time. Now, since you have a working laptop already might as well get a tablet that you can easily carry but you will still have a laptop at home to do things you cant on a tablet. Goodluck with the decision.
All these tech stuff confuse me 2 I find it hard to decide which 1 to buy and which 1 to let go of. I have had samsung tablet for more than a yr now and today since i was bored i paid some attention to it and found out that i dnt need to buy a kindle cuz i can access books on it too . And my bro suggested i get bb’s playbook but now i m thinking i dnt even need that cuz the samsung tablet n bb’s playbook pretty much have same features, no?!
i like the ipad though but its really expensive and i dnt want to spend that much money on it rite now!
Yep, BB playbook and Samsung Galaxy tablets are both tablets - the difference is the OS i suppose. Comes down to which brand you like better. I don’t think there are any major differences in terms of features. I could be wrong though - I haven’t looked into them.
yah im sure there must be some difference bt for somebody like me who is not too much into such tech stuff or the details, i dnt think it shud matter! but then yah when i look at an ipad it does matter but then it has alot of features which others lack!
One thing that netbooks/laptops cant beat tablets on: INSTANT BOOTUP.
Netbooks take upto a full minute or more to bring up the workable screen. More programs starting in the background, more you wait. With tablets, itys instant on. That is one ting that I am so addicted to is that I dont feel like login on to my computers unless I really really have to.
