Some govts. don't impose these restrictions. E.g. Pakistan has never had a restriction on this. Sialkot is a living example. All the converts made to Christianity in Sialkot will probably outnumber those anywhere else in Pakistan.
Jehova's witnesses roam free in our cities.
I am not confirmed but christians in Sialkot are living there since the time Mughal Emperor Babar. The English doctors treated her daughter and the king allowed them to preach in Punjab as a reward.
Correct me if i am wrong........................................................I was told that you can not become a US president, until and unless you are christian.......what does that make US.......secular or a christian country??????
You don't need to be Christian to be a president, but given that many voters are your old geezers who really are mostly Christian, and given that the Christian fundamentalists hold really strong low-key lobby power, and given that the average voter is so used to seeing a white Christian president that its just too much to vote differently for many, and given that minority religions do not necessarily promote political activism (ex. American muslims) within their communities...
you really aren't going to see a non-Christian president in some time.
Although, we nearly had a Jewish VP - but he lost the election. After the infamous re-count.

Yes you are right, and after the formation of Pakistan no law or restriction was imposed on christian missionaries working in Pakistan and in this case Sialkot. Ihave met missionaries here in the US who boldly told me of their knowledge of "chaddar" and "Char diwari" culture of Pakistan from their visits to Sialkot.
Similarly we used to be visited by Jehova's witnesses preachers in Karachi from their local Kingdom Hall in Gulshan Iqbal way back in the 80s. I remember arguing with them when I was 17 or 18 that I don't believe in their doctrine because I am a muslim and I have the Quran to guide me! So Paksitan never had or has a restriction on non-islamic religious workers. Is this good or bad, is a different debate.
Another Proof: Christians don't Love Jews but Bush does.
Wrong. The Evangelical Churches in the USA view Jews as being God's chosen people and that Christians have a religious duty to support them. Most US Christian leaders who are not from the Anglican, Catholic, or Orthodox Churches love Jews as a result.
You live in England, right? None of the British churches share the pro-Jewish views that American Evangelical churches do, which is why it might seem to you that Christians don't love Jews.
Don't assume all Christians are the same. Christians have very different view all over the world.
I guess no reply to my original question means there is actually nothing in Quran that makes preaching by non-muslims punishable by death.
That would be correct as far as I can understand.
